I never cared for egg rolls, until I ate them here at China Wok! Also, their tiny shrimp was delicious & perfectly cooked! Can’t beat Chinese meal with soup & egg role included for just some cents more than $10! Their cute little kids running around and catching things outside was adorable too! They were so sweet to explain all the dishes I asked about also.

New family took over in March, some changes to the flavors on the menu. I liked the crab rangoons the most on this order.

When I’m in the area, this is the only Chinese joint that I patronize! The new atmosphere and the new owners are fantastic. The food was fresh, fast, and very nicely priced. Next time I’m around Winston/King/Tobaccoville/etc I will be dinning with them again.

My favorite dish at China wok in lewisville was scallion chicken. This recipe had been passed down for more than 30 years from Lotus Pond in Clemmons and was fantastic. Since the new owners took over two months ago, I have gone twice and ordered scallion chicken. Neither time was it close. I would strongly recommend that when taking over a successful restaurant, learn the key recipes that made them successful and continue them. Don’t be so stubborn to think you know what’s better for thousands of customers, or you will be digging yourself out of an unnecessary deep hole.

Used to be great before the new owners. Owners are very nice and we have given them 3 tries but the food isn’t great. Fried rice tastes like plain Mexican rice, one reason to get Chinese is for the rice. Was excited to see Pad Thai but it was disappointing. Steamed dumplings also blah. The egg rolls are good. We will unfortunately be going elsewhere from now on.

Under new ownership (2023). Have been stopping here for at least a 12-14 years previously. Honestly, very impressed for the food for Chinese. It’s hard to explain, but the food is less greasy and the vegetables and meats have more taste and don’t seem to be as soggy. Made me realize what I’ve been missing for the years since I’ve been going there. Only downside is they don’t offer the pint options for dinner (do offer lunch specials though), so my wife and I split the cashew nuts and chicken, and we both agreed it’s the best we’ve ever gotten there in the past (and the meal was plenty enough for 2). Son ate his entire meal as well. The pricing went up perhaps a dollar per the meal size, but the packaging of the food is better as well IMO. Everything isn’t in a white box, but covered “see through” platters which seemed to hold the heat better (seems to be a better plastic than what was previously used). Generally I don’t leave reviews, but think the food was good enough to write one.

The China Wok Experience (Call In/Pick-Up Edition). Today I cheated on my favorite Chinese restaurant. Instead, I wanted to taste what else was out there. As you know, all Chinese restaurants are not the same nor prepare their food the same way. So I placed an order for their lunch scallion chicken extra spicy with an egg roll. Whomever I spoke with was pleasant on the phone.

New ownership. The Ho’s have retired and my family is sad. The new staff are nice, but the food isn’t the same. We ordered our favorite crab ragoons and they were disappointing and very sweet, the pork & spring eggroll weren’t good, and I also got chicken lo mein which wasn’t bad but the chicken was mushy.

Not sure what has changed at this place. We have ordered takeout from here (China Wok next to Lowes Foods) since moving to Lewisville 14 years ago but after tonight’s food experience, we will be looking elsewhere for Chinese food.
