Finally walked over to this downtown Chinese restaurant to try it out. Got a cashew chicken/fried rice lunch combo. It was a good deal and I was impressed with the amount of vegetables, including mushrooms, but everything was pretty greasy. I would try a different kind of chicken next time. Wonton soup was better than I expected. They weren’t too busy so it was a short wait. They do not currently have done in.

China Taste has been our goto for Chinese in Ephrata for a long time. Our guilty pleasure meal is the General Tso Combo (ordered Extra Spicy). Tonight’s order has to be the best we’ve had from there, hands down.

Date of visit: Sunday April 24, 2022. I was visiting Ephrata this day and I discovered China Taste on Main Street. I ordered chicken chow mein and egg drop soup. The soup was scalding hot and very delicious, not thin and watered down. The chicken chow mein was crunchy but had a lot of chicken in it. I’ve had better. I was starving at the and China Teste satisfied me. I had takeout because there is no seating. Luckily there are tables in front of the visitors center. I would eat here again.

I’ve eaten Chinese food all across America and this is one of a handful of places that I enjoy. Food is always fresh and delicious and cooked to perfection! The new to menu appetizer Thai Crispy Jumbo Shrimp with Coconut dipping sauce is to live for!!! Folks here are always happy to see you and greet you as soon as you walk in the door! Portions are nice and prices are fantastic!!!

China Taste is the BEST Chinese Takeout restaurant in the area! Staff is always happy and super kind. And the food is amazing! I love the General Tso’s Chicken and the Beef W/ Broccoli, best around. 5 stars would definitely recommend!

My parents have been eating at this place for over 20 years, and now we ordered from them tonight, came home and the crab rangoons had almost nothing inside of them as if it was just the shell. Also, the lo mein was bland and definitely not their normal. They are cutting corners because they don’t want to have to raise their prices so they just make the egg rolls smaller, put nothing in the crab rangoons, and make the lo mein taste like cardboard. You just lost a customer, China Taste.
