We’ve been using China Star for take out for many years, and in our opinion, they are consistently the best Chinese food in White Plains. Very rarely is everything not perfectly delicious. Food is fresh and seasoned as it should be. The only issue is that sometimes they do mess your order up a little bit. Nothing major. I’ve tried many other places, but always come right back to China Star. Also, this is not a dine in type restaurant. They do have three booths in there, but I would not recommend it for anything other than maybe in an absolute pinch grabbing a quick lunch on your lunch break if necessary. Excellent for takeout.

If your in the mood for Chinese food…for all the reasons it’s yummy then I recommend China Star. I grew up in the boroughs so a good local place where food is good and inexpensive is key. I like the pork fried rice, the shrimp rolls General Tso (though sometimes it’s missing the hot peppers I love).

Rude is beyond what I would call the person I spoke to on the phone tonight. I placed an order via Grub Hub and half of it was incorrect or missing (one wrong dish was sent, two sodas and an egg roll were missing). I called to let them know and then was put on hold while they took other orders. I called back and then was told they did not have an order from me, even though I was looking right at the GH portal and used the number from the portal to call them. This could be the best Chinese food ever, but I will not order from them again.

I don’t know were to start right now, so i order the food on call i said 3 orders of chicken wing and french fries with 2 eggrolls i arrived i check if its correct only 1 order of chicken wing of french fries with 3 eggrolls bc i ordered one more eggroll. I told the guy that my order is incorrect he said i ordered 1 chicken wing with french fries plus the eggrolls i told him to give me my money back he gets mad and idc bc i told him the right order he can be mad at me for how long but i like the dude with the glasses better. Deceitful, disorganized mess of a restaurant. This place is hit-or-miss, but mostly miss. Especially tonight. I placed an order for my family on the phone, and the employee took it as usual. What the employee intentionally didn’t tell me was that the restaurant had a gas leak in the kitchen, and was cooking the food at a separate location down the road.

I don’t know where to start. Their food use to be really good but I do not know what has happened. One of the guys that answers the phone and takes the orders are extremely rude. They charge so much for a shrimp and broccoli in a little container. The food is just horrible here now and I been going to this place over 15 years. Not anymore.
