The mandarin chicken here sparked my love of chicken katsu, and try as I might, I have been unable to find anywhere that compares to China Star’s. Served over a bed of fried rice and cabbage, topped with a delicious peanut sauce, this dish is another must stops when I’m back in town visiting family.

This place is really good. I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. They also make their own homemade duck sauce and Chinese hot mustard and chili oil. All of which are excellent. I believe all of their sauces and gravy’s etc are all homemade. Definitely recommend. Even though they are one of the standard cookie cutter Chinese takeout places I believe they are a step above most
