My family recommended we have China Star for dinner. Currently they only have carry out and delivery. We chose to do take out. I went to their location and placed our order. The staff person told me it would take 20 minutes. It took closer to 40 minutes. As I waited, I witnessed how busy they were with new orders and completing previous orders. To me that was a great sign. A restaurant being busy because the food is good is always a great sign. The food was made fresh and was still hot when I returned home. Overall the food was good, the order was correct, and we were all satisfied with the portion sizes (which was large and we could have shared). I recommend China Star.

I ordered garlic chicken lunch special…terrible food plain and simple. It’s as if they replaced all the Chinese seasonings and flavors with salt. Salt is all I tasted besides the over cooked chicken that was stringy and had the flavor of burnt grease. The egg roll was unusual small and full of over cooked mushy vegetables. Hence my search for good Chinese good in McDonough continues. So disappointing…

We’ve been coming here for 8 years and the food portions are way smaller than what they used to be. I understand if they have to raise prices, but raising prices and making the portions smaller is not fair to the customers.

My boyfriend I took him for the first time and he was not happy. He paid $20.00 for a meal that hardly had anything in it. They only gave him one soy sauce for his shrimp fried rice. His 2 shrimp rolls inside the rolls the shrimps had shells on the tail part in the shrimp roll. He hated the food. I was surprise because usually their food is good. It’s a bit pricey. Disappointed.. I will not come here again.

I eat here 2 or 3 times a month. Always good. Fresh vegetables, tender meats. Egg rolls are small but tasty. Chicken and beef teriyaki sticks are tender and flavorful. Our favorites are Triple Crown and sweet and sour chicken.

Food was TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE!! The crab rangoons were very dry and hard as rocks, not edible. The teriyaki beef sticks were tuff and rubbery, not edible. The egg rolls were mushy and had a very chemical taste. The chicken wings were dry and rubbery. (UNABLE TO SERVE side dishes to guess) Shame on China Star 2 for serving this food that is located at 1705 GA-42. Waste of money!

This place use to be my go to place whenever I wanted good, fast, clean Chinese food. Not now, fast service is all I can say about it now. Ordered Seafood fried rice and only 3 pieces of Seafood, rice and vegetables undercooked and braised wings were terrible. Called back to complain after throwing food away to ask what comes in Seafood fried rice and was told they put 3 of each Seafood in rice. Which was an outright LIE. I explained that this was my second time getting this and they only put 3 pieces of Seafood in it. Also the rice was undercooked along with the vegetables. They could care less and said bring it back for them to see it. Warning to McDonough residents.. .FIND ANOTHER CHINESE RESTAURANT THAT VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND RESPECT YOUR BUSINESS!!! Food Wasn’t worth the money or 15 minute drive…
