I rarely leave reviews if they are bad because I always feel bad. However, most of the time it’s an experience that was bad, not the food. I can’t say the same here. They were quick and the food was hot. Then I sat to eat it. Started with the rice, white rice, somehow it was undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The sesame chicken was so salty it was unreal, I know this style generally is salty but this was like licking a salt stick. It also had a flavor of something that tasted spoiled. That whole combination platter was a no. Then beef and broccoli, also white rice so that’s already a no go. The beef also had a sour taste to it. I will definitely not try again, nor recommend. It was an entire meal that immediately went into the garbage.

Fine Chinese restaurant with the typical dishes available. Staff is friendly and the service was good and quick. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is I did feel like this place has slightly higher prices then some others I’ve been to.

The selection was pretty good, but the food wasn’t the greatest. It was certainly edible and I wouldn’t mind eating here again. The atmosphere is really nice and the workers here are polite and keep tabs on you pretty well with drink refills. If their food was a little better, they’d get a 5 star out of me, but the food just isn’t quite up to what I’d consider worth the price.

Too pricey, the foods mediocre at best, and the people behind the counter have ZERO customer service skills. It’s hard enough when you go here because of the language barrier besides the woman there is grumpy, loud and demanding.. gets mean because she cannot understand you or if you have a hard time understanding her. Then she gets downright nasty. Id probably only go here if I was super desperate. Even then, I may try to become a Chinese food cook myself..

Our delivery order was awful! Egg rolls were burnt, chicken wings were disgustingly greasy and had way to much batter, fried noodles were not even fresh…. Do not even waste your time. Awful service, and when we called back to tell them about our order, they laughed on the phone and said “No! nothing is burnt!” If there was a 0 star rating, they wouldn’t even be worth that.

The only place my husband I order Chinese food! The portions are big, the prices are great, and no matter how much we order it’s always 10mins!! They are so efficient and the food is delicious. Best egg rolls , highly recommend China star in old forge!!

Overly disappointed loyal customer. The last time I ordered from here the general tso’s chicken was extremely dried out and I couldn’t eat it. It wasn’t very good at all. The chicken lo mein was even a little on the dry side. Not so sure how it’s possible to have messed up chicken lo mein but they did. Furthermore, the cheap owners wouldn’t replace only the portion of the meal that was bad and kept saying “no understand” and when I wanted it then delivered she told me her computer was broken only after taking down my number and address. Such a poor way to run a business. It’s really sad.

I wish i could agree with you all about the food. I ordered from this place for the first time and i was very very disappointed. I actually had to throw out most of a $38 dollar order. It was dry and way over cooked. Ive never had shrimp toast the i couldnt chew. Chewy shrimp and the chicken in the sweet and sour chicken was hard as a rock. I guess i caught a new cook or a bad night or i have no idea what the problem was. I was sick over it. We really tried to eat what could but ultimately had to throw it out and pay for something else somewhere else to eat that night. One star is for the polite staff. I didnt call and complain because it was later in the evening. i just crossed this place right off my take out list. Im not fussy but i do have my limits. I was looking at ordering from somewhere else tonight and ran across these reviews.
