I would rate them a 4 or 5 for the flavor of the Singapore Mei Fun. However, lately, the amount of meat is noticeably less while the price has increased by as much. The house special soup is mostly now a delicious vegetable soup. I will return because the food tastes great! The wings are excellent.

As a Native New Yorker, China Sea takes me back. I have learned that a small “hole in the wall” Chinese place will ALWAYS out shine a large fancy eat in restaurant. The flavors and spices are unmatched in this area. The service is fast and polite. A hidden gem for sure!!

I had the Mongolian Beef. It was perfect. The onions were caramelized perfectly. The fried rice that accompanied the entree was delicious. It’s a small restaurant, but there are some tables to sit at. I’ll be back to try more from here.

UPDATE 06/2023: 8 years running now- no change. Any day any time the food is still great! January 2020: By far exceeds expectations! 5 years running best Chinese in Galveston. Food is fresh and delicious. Restaurant is quaint, clean, and unencumbered! Broadway location, easy parking, great fresh food, fast service- leaves nothing to be desired!

I don’t know who ALL these “local guides” are posting 5 stars for China Sea. It must be a scam with the owner. This place was so bad, we didn’t eat our food. Just paid and walked out. We were the only ones in there, that should have been our first sign.
