There are a few things they do well but everything else is a hit-or-miss. You pretty much can’t go wrong with their beef lo mein; it’s the one thing that is consistently yummy. Outside of that, we’ve probably ordered from them over a half dozen times in the last 3 years and it’s always disappointing. Their chicken dishes are often bland, dry and kind of startling bleached-white. They have that super weird yellow-hued rice (turmeric seasoning maybe?) that seems to be a Shiawassee county thing — we’ve experienced it at a few different Asian restaurants out here. I grew up in metro Detroit and fried rice is supposed to be brown — not neon orange. Their gravy is pretty disgusting and every time I’ve got dumplings (either in my wonton soup or fried), they seem undercooked and borderline raw. That said, 3 stars because for $6ish, you can get the lunch special from 11am-2pm with what seems like nearly a pound of pretty great beef lo mein and odd-colored but otherwise passable fried rice.

The food is very over cooked. It didn’t taste right. We will not be back. Ever.

First it took forever for someone to answer the phone. Walked into the “restaurant” and it looked more like a construction site with plastic hanging from the ceiling. When I got the food home. It looked like it was over cooked. The egg rolls were just about burned and super greasy… horrible. The “bourbon chicken” I’m pretty sure was pork, was so over cooked it was hard to chew and awful. The honey chicken tasted like watered down honey, more like sugar water with a hint of honey…so gross.

This place is good most of the time, but there have been some serious failures in the past. This time, however, everything was top-notch! Egg rolls, need chow mein, beef chop suey, hot sour soup! Really really good!!
