The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was unique and authentic feeling. We had a great experience at China Gourmet. We ordered the Chef Chow Fun and Singapore Noodles, and were very impressed. The meal was delicious. The location was right downtown, within walking distance of our hotel at the Residence Inn. I would highly recommend this dining experience.

Food is great. We did the Special Chinese Dinner, which came with spring rolls, crab Rangoon, soup, and the entrees we ordered (Honey Garlic Chicken and Peking Duck). The chicken was sweet, crispy, and delicious. The duck was served with pancakes and hoisin sauce, which I feel drowned out the taste of the duck (still taste great, just didn’t feature the duck well). Atmosphere is a bit odd, with constant phone ringing, mobile order reminders, etc. However, to survive COVID, I’m sure they did what was necessary. All-in-all we’d definitely go back.

This one little sample plater cost 12 dollars……on the menu it stated it came with a bunch of different appetizers. I am not happy at all with paying 12 dollars for this very small plate.

The food was good and well prepared, but the lack of manpower slowed down the process quite a bit. If you have a lot of time on your hands and want authentic Chinese cuisine, I recommend China Gourmet. If you’re in a hurry or really hungry, I’d suggest you go elsewhere.
