I am 100% sure their food made me sick. I ordered pepper steak and it was burning hot, and I made the comment it seems like they are trying to cook out some bacteria, I think I was right, and… they failed. DO NOT EAT HERE if you are not planning on spending the next day at home.

Ordered online and it got to my hotel quick. I am only .6 mi away so that was expected. I ordered a chicken chow mein egg rolls wanton soup and a Pepsi. I didn’t realize you had to order rice extra. So if you want rice that’s an extra 1.50 to 2.75. The egg rolls were old ,dry and cold. The wanton soup was covered in lettuce. But overall good. The chicken chow mein was mostly bean sprouts but still good. The prices were good. It may be overkill to only give 2 stars for such little problems. But i I really like egg rolls and rice. And the Pepsi was a 16.9 oz bottle.

I had a taste for some good Chinese food, and this place always used to hit the spot. They have new owners and clearly they are still learning how to cook. I had the shrimp fried rice and shrimp foo young. Both of them were just not good. I had to throw it away. The shrimp foo Young had so much filo dough in it, was like chewing paper with gravy on it. The shrimp fried rice had cocktail shrimp. It’s a hard NO for me

I ordered thru UberEATS but the food this time was not good. Have ordered here before and had decent food but this time it was not. With my chicken I asked for no side, but they packed it with these noodles that tasted overpoweringly of shrimp. Crab Rangoon was undercooked and raw tasting. Szechuan veggies were drowned in sauce, couldn’t even taste the veggies at all. Definitely won’t order from this restaurant again, bummer.

I bought the pepper steak and rice for lunch on August 3, 2022. The steak was over-seasoned and tough, so I called and spoke with a young lady and requested a substitution with another order in lieu of a refund. She flat out stated, “No. We don’t do refunds or substitute orders.” The dish was awful and China Gourmet has lost a frequent customer.
