we looked this restaurant up and it claimed to have child friendly food options and it did not, the hibachi was closed down (permanently), the food was not good (soggy, cold, and oily). They forced an almost $11 tip and the only service we received was getting our drinks and even those got messed up. I don’t reccomend this place as a place to eat.

These complainers are something else. My wife and I come a few times a year. Foods always good. Staff has always been pleasant. I’m very grateful that it’s a small affordable buffet. We will continue to visit. Actually going tonight

A better than average lunch buffet. I liked it and will definitely go back again. My lunch with a fountain drink was a little over $15. Plenty of tables at noon, all of the food was fresh, the dining area, buffet, and restroom were clean. Very polite and professional staff as well.

Great service, which is why I give it 2 stars instead of the 1.. The chicken and broccoli almost always has too much oil in it. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, figured I would give it a try again and it’s the same as I remembered it (and the reason I stopped coming)… oily food and the taste is mediocre, egg rolls are pitiful. I would suggest going to a different Chinese restaurant (as I will be doing in the future)

First time here today for dinner (5:30-7:30, mid-October 2022) – Together, we tried 15 of the 29 main dishes. Food was fresh, hot, and tasty. Chilled bar with peel and eat shrimp, clams, cucumber salad, puddings, and typical Chinese buffet desserts. Ice cream in prepackaged tubs. Kevin was very satisfied (unusual). For me personally, since I can’t eat gluten, my meal was very limited to about a half dozen items, but everything was very good. The hibachi grill was closed, manager said no foreseeable plans to reopen it.

My daughter and I eat here for lunch. The server was rude and quite frankly a witch! I asked for an unsweet tea with lemon and I get a sweet tea. I asked her to replace it and she huffed and puffed and made a very rude face gesture, she is in the wrong business.

This place is truly a wonderland. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. I always make sure to stop by when I am back in the Dayton area. Many things change in that plaza — Kmart to Kroger to all sorts of new construction — but the glory of China Garden Buffet has stood through it all. I actually plan to name my first born child “China Garden Buffet” and have a lawyer already retained in case the county clerk tries to stop me.

Unfortunately for me it was the most limited Chinese Buffet I have ever been to and on top of that the price of $15.05 for 1 person at lunch time with a drink is to much for such a limited selection.
