I was super disappointed with my latest china garden trip. A friend had brought some over and I was very impressed. He said it’s better on the weekends, but I went on a Wednesday anyway. There were only 2 tables inside, so we ate at one. There were tons of dead flies in the front window. The food took about 10 minutes, not bad, and then they served us in to go containers which was ok as well… the crab Rangoons were incredibly nasty. Pure cream cheese and no crab flavoring oddly sweet. The rice was ok and the meat was ok for starters. By the time we left we were already having stomach aches and it completely ruined our night… let’s leave it at that. $40 for 2 combos and an appetizer.

When coming home from a reenactment in that location, I always stop in for take out. Am always surprised as how quickly my order is ready. Food is always good and plentiful

Absolutely delicious! We’ve tried almost every Asian restaurant within 15 miles and had given up hope until we found China Garden! We have had a variety of dishes and have never been disappointed. Portions are big, food is fresh and service is friendly. Super easy to order online and pick up quickly. We’ve finally found our favorite takeout place!

Just love this restaurant!! Have been very unhappy with so many others lately. The pad thai is great, sticky wings and spring rolls are fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Worst chinese food I ever had! These people who said it was good have no idea what good Chinese food is. So bland and the beef and chicken taste soft and gross, and they won’t give you duck sauce unless you ask for it? Unreal…I am new to the town and very disappointed.

I had ordered some last minute food for new years eve, they were taking orders up u tip 2pm and I had placed mine at 145pm. The woman asked me what time did I want it to be ready for and I said 3pm if that wasn’t too early and she said nope that will work. I am a RN so last minute I got assigned a patient to see last minute. I called the restaurant at 2pm and asked them to have it ready for 4pm instead (figuring it would give them an extra hr too! They hadn’tstarted it). It was a different lady who I spoke to via phone and she gave me such a rude condescending attitude….

This is my family’s favorite place to get mei fun Although we haven’t explored the bulk of the rest of the menu, the dishes we have had our all superlative. Rice noodles are cooked well and the dish is not at all greasy. The prices are very reasonable and they are very quick to provide service. They only have a few small table tops for eating in, but the bulk of their business seems to be takeout. The location is off the main beaten path but well worth the trip.

We had a favorite Chinese restaurant in Johnston for nearly 20 years. We tried China Garden when they first opened and no one else can compare! We get take-out once a week and it’s the best! Consistent every time and my true test of great Chinese food is how good it is for leftovers. Always good, always!
