The food here is always fresh, always prepared exactly as requested (and we generally ask for a lot: vegetarian, extra tofu, no egg, no utensils, sauces, or cookies etc…). They are always polite on the phone, always done on time and handed over with a smile in a simple paper bag, well packed, and heaping, generous portions for a fair price. In the wasteland of Parsippany take-out this little hole-in-the-wall place shines bright. Nothing much to look at, yet the kitchen is run by hard working people who, day in and day out, consistently serve up tasty, fairly healthy food (albeit a tad salty, but that’s a given with most restaurant food). What would we do without China City! We are so grateful! Xiexie!

The food here is excellent. I’ve ordered the house special chow fun, beef and broccoli, fried scallops and vegetable lo mein. There are only 3 tables, so most people take out their order. Very friendly restaurant. My 5 year old loves the chicken wings too.

I went over there to pick up Chinese food for my family last week and we all enjoyed it so very much I ate the whole thing that night I had the combo with sweet and sour pork and that was next time I’m going to try the fried dumplings

Really good Chinese food in lake Hiawatha. Portion sizes are big and they have a great variety for lunch specials. I would suggest take out to dine in as seating space is limited.

The best Chinese food I’ve had in years. Since moving to the area 2 years ago I have struggled to find good Chinese delivery at a decent price but China City takes the cake.

Yummiest Chinese-food in town. My family enjoys the Chicken with green beans, Shrimp lo-mein with veggies & Chicken wings with white rice and the broccoli with chicken. The orders are always correct&fresh!The staff is friendly and answered any questions i had. I would recommend coming here to eat with family or order take-out when we do order deliver its always fresh and on time.

Lured in by the good reviews, but the simplest meal was inedible. Ordered shrimp fried rice but almost none of the shrimp were cleaned, so couldn’t eat most of them. Didn’t feel like cleaning my dinner while eating it either. Rice was dry and pretty bland.

It doesn’t look like much. Basic take out place. The owner/woman behind cash register is very nice. They are accomidating to make special mixes for specially if kids don’t like certain veggies. Food has always been very delicious. They have also been kind in the past to donate food for local PTA events.

I’m sorry I haven’t written a review for China City before. The staff have always been nice and friendly to me. Now the food review….I love the food here!! I have tried other places and still nothing compared to them. My family favorites to get is the Chicken and broccoli, the General tso chicken, the chicken lo mein, Beef and broccoli, and finally the pork fried rice.

Good food for a Chinese fast food place. Since covid-19 they have stopped delivery which is a bit annoying. They have a small parking lot on the side which is a plus when picking up your food. I would recommend to someone looking for Chinese takeout on a Friday night.
