Cajun Critic
This place felt sticky and dirty the second I walked in. Table and menus were dirty. My burger was dry and had no flavor. The ceiling is filthy along with the air conditioner ducts, I took pictures to prove it. Overhead a waitress tell a customer she would do something for her even though it wasn’t allowed. Management was standing at the bar laughing at people outside the business,very unprofessional. I travel all the time and eat out daily, this is by far one of the worst restaurant environments I’ve been in.

It took them over 40 minutes to get us our food however a few diff tables around us got their food before us, ate and checked out even after coming in after us. We were told there were a lot of to-go orders and they prioritize those. When I finally got my food the pasta was hard. I only ate the shrimp and left the pasta there. Overall not a great experience. There isn’t much in this town but I would say try eating somewhere else instead.

I’m the first to admit I’m not a big chain guy, and maybe it’s just the experience I’ve had with Chili’s in Austin, but I can tell you the one in Thibodaux really has it going on. Both times I’ve ordered the sirloin steak (once in store and once using Grubhub for pickup), it’s been cooked perfectly, extremely tender with a great salt and garlic crust, which is honestly surprising to me for a sirloin steak. The sides have been great too – the loaded mashed potatoes mixing with au jus from the steak is delicious. The street corn dusted with chili powder reminded me of home in south Texas. When I was in the store, the service was fast and friendly. Anyway, I am writing this review just to give props where props are due. Well done, Chili’s of Thibodaux. Well done.

My friend wanted to eat here so we decided to order the two for $25. It was a lot of food! We ordered the loaded fries, a rib and steak dinner, and the skillet chocolate chip cookie. I enjoyed my steak; it was cooked how I like it. However, I was disappointed with the asparagus I ordered. They didn’t snap off the inedible woody ends off the asparagus which is cooking 101. Other than that we enjoyed our meal, and we had a really nice waitress.

After staying away from Chili’s for many years due to declining levels of quality and service, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to the Thibodaux location. Very nice menu selection. The quality and portion sizes were very impressive as well as the the cost. Nice to see the effort Chili’s has put in to reinventing their brand.

It took awhile before we were even acknowledged/seated. We were there for an hour before we even received our food and we ordered 2 burgers! There were only a few tables, not busy at all! Below was the avocado on my burger. What a joke. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because our waitress was amazing!

I’m only giving 1 star because I have to. We dined in, 5 top. Ordered drinks and an appetizer to start. We didn’t get our drinks for 45 minutes and received our appetizer about an hour later. We asked for limes for our drinks from the bartender and our server and never received them until our neighboring table overheard us asking again and ordered them through their waiter which they received within 10 seconds. My husband’s steak was not cooked as ordered, die to the wait for everything (not a full house) he decided not to send it back due to having to wait another hour to get it. My 5 year old son refused to eat his grilled cheese as it was not even melted. Just two slices of cheese slapped onto hot bread. The shrimp for my shrimp tacos were not cooked all the way and I took all my shrimp out and ate just the remainder of what comes on them. This was a second chance as it is. We haven’t eaten here for the last 4 years because of previous service and we will NEVER be back. Do not send us free food vouchers as they will sit in my closet just like the previous ones. No excuses for how things were handled tonight. 2 hours we waited for onion petals, 2 orders of boneless wings (came out with the bone), overcooked steak, uncooked grilled cheese and uncooked grilled shrimp.
