It was my first time eating at Childers Eatery, I had heard about them on the radio so I wanted to go and check it out. My son and I went on a lunch date on Friday afternoon, when we walked in it was a little quiet we were actually wondering if they were open. Someone approached us ask us if we would like a booth or a table and we chose a booth. There were two other families in the restaurant. I do like how the area was nice and open and the waitress was very friendly! The menu seemed a little bit small but my son and I both decided to get the chicken and waffles, I was impressed that it came with bacon usually you don’t see that in other restaurants. We both decided to add a side of eggs to our meals. Of course it was more food than we could eat but it tasted fantastic especially the chicken! We will be returning!

Went there for the first time today and was pretty happy. Obviously people like it, it was a hopping place today. Loved the menu selections, thought it was a nice mix. I had the lemon something French toast, and it was good. The cocktails were very good, but not cheap. Our waiter was nice and pleasant. Overall a nice time.

Wonderfully wide menu with healthy and decidedly not healthy (but still delicious) choices. Good coffee as well. Service was great, food was delicious. Only downside was the food was quite slow in coming. I will be back because I want to try more from the menu!

I had the Skillet and it was good. I wish it was smothered in less gravy, but it’s just a part of the dish. When I asked to substitute the cheese, they were very accommodating. The menu has variety, which I love, but unfortunately, it has next to no vegan options.

Restaurants that serve breakfast all day are my favorite. I’d heard good things about Childers and I’m so excited to have finally gone. The first time I got the Elvis pancakes: there’s slices of bananas and bits of bacon and Reese’s candy, which were amazing.

Tried Childers on a Sunday at Brunch time. The menu is not your everyday selection and was pleased with the choices. My wife had the BLT and I chose the Best Breakfast in Peoria. No really that’s what it’s called. Very tasty selections and we will eat here again.
