The food was ok. I have better food in CoCora -West Hartford CT. The server, we never met him. They were like three different people that help us with our food. We were only two people in our table. We ask for an extra silverware for our Picarones, but they never bring us until with ask someone for it. I won’t recommend the Arroz con pollo, it taste horrible.

The first time we went to that restaurant is very good. The waitress was very attentive and affordable. They have live music I liked it but I’d say they should to play variety. Beside that everything good it’s not the end of the world.!

I heard about the owner of this place opening a new restaurant, so I stopped by at 7:45 pm, unaware that they close at 8 pm on Wednesdays. I ordered Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. Pretty safe, right? Wrong. They put seaweed as a garnish instead of cilantro… They had mussels, which did not taste fresh and distracted from the fish. It was way too salty and was not citrusy. It was the worst ceviche mixto I had ever tasted. I used to live in Peru, and I expected better. The Lomo Saltado came out at the same time as the ceviche, which was odd. The Lomo looks like it was rushed by a closing kitchen. Dry as a bone, overcooked, no juice. They dumped dry french fries on top. I let them know that was not what I was used to. I’m used to Lomo having the potatoes mixed in with the tomatoes, onions, and steak and then sautéed together in the juices. Very disappointed.

So, we gave Chilcano’s another chance and this time they didn’t disappoint. We sat down and only waited a short time before we were tended. The order came out with our appetizers and drinks within 10 minutes, which is fast and the presentation of the food was impressive! Good job gang! I will be back with my family.

The food was outstanding! At the end of our meal we were invited back by Will. This personal touch makes me want to give a 4.7. We waited a bit for our food but the food was really good. Everyone on instagram etc asked about the food. Try it. Service with our waitress kind of slow. So don’t go if you’re in a hurry but food very good.

Horrible experience!!!! Went there to order takeout for the first time. They took forever to take my order. The 2 waitresses there saw me and ignored me. Then worse of all, there was a long piece of hair in my food. The French fries and yuca was undercooked and not edible at all. The only good thing was the chicken. Don’t go here. Save your money. Go to Inca Social, way better Peruvian food and attention from waitresses. And definitely no hair in my food.

I went to eat there on a weekend. The food was amazing. I ordered the Ronda marina and their Ceviche was one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. The service was also very good, our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. Our drinks and food came out quickly without any problems. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try authentic Peruvian food.

During our time at this restaurant we had received poor attentive customer service! Just to be asked what we wanted to drink took roughly 25 minutes. After ordering the food it took 45 minutes just for 1 entree and an appetizer! After my mother finished eating her plate the waiter came and asked if everything was fine and if we had gotten our food which we did not . We had to get up and get our own utensils also! Everyone who had been seated after us had received their food. My mother said the food was good but it little proportion.
