Food is mediocre. We ordered the ribs, chicken and mapo tofu. The best is probably the garlic rice that came with the chicken. Cute decor if that’s what you care about.

Coolest Peruvian and Taiwanese fusion! One of its kind dishes with precise flavors with unique twist. We loved the contrasting colors and tranquil atmosphere of the place. The restaurant owner was amazing as well!

Chifa is no doubt a delicious Peruvian restaurant, located in Eagle Rock. Super pricey, but did not expect anything less given that it’s near the heart of LA. We ordered the Braised Spare Ribs, Dan Dan Mien (noodles) and Wok-fried Vegetables – all which were super tasty. The ribs were so tender and beautifully cooked. We made sure to have room for a dessert spread and ordered four desserts, with the affogato as my hands down favorite!!!! They serve the vanilla ice cream with the most incredible *lavender milk tea*… it is absolutely to die for. I would come back just for the affogato!!

I was expecting more peruvian chifa menu, but there are more traditional like Lomo saltado, pollo a la brasa etc

The black pepper sauce on the prawns will forever ever be the best flavor I have ever endured. I can’t believe it exists. Favorite dish!!!!!!

Humberto , Rica and John run a beautiful family restaurant with unique Fusion Cantonese Peruvian and Taiwanese flair. We had the pork ribs and the Zhongzi with beans (the Latin twist). Cocktail was also amazing. Can’t wait to go back to try more.

Update: I’ve now been here more than a handful of times and every time I come back it gets better and better. I highly recommend the brûlée char shiu, spare ribs, black pepper prawns, tiradito, lomo saltado, pollo a la brasa. The Chinese fries are great though a bit salty. Garlic rice is a must to accompany the yummy protein. Drinks are great too. They also serve vervet, one of my fave sparkling cocktails in a can!

I loved the fusion in all the dishes present at Chifa. I knew I wanted to hit it on my trip to LA and I’m glad I did. Everything I had was delicious. If I lived here I’d stop by alot.
