Chico’s Taqueria is a family owned restaurant in Benicia , CA. The original Chicos Taqueria was founded in Marin county in 2003, but due to the 2008 recession in San Francisco we had to close the doors and place our dreams on hold. Luckily, we were able to open a gem of a location in Vallejo CA and called it Taqueria Los Amigos. After much thought, we dreamed up the re-opening of Chico’s Taqueria. The family business is the true meaning of living the American dream. After tons of perseverance and optimism they were able to open their doors and serve the city of Benicia. We thank all you that have been patrons and share a love for great Mexican food made by people who put their heart and soul into every dish. Come see what we’re all about!

First time coming here had 2 tacos one beef tongue(it was delicious) and one carne asada(the meat felt too dry) the good thing about the tacos they are a good size and they give you a good amount of meat in them. I also ordered a super burrito carne asada instead of guacamole I wanted avocado the only thing about it was the sour cream, cheese and avocado were only in the middle of the burrito and not spread. I also ordered jamaica drink which it was delicious. The pricing I think it’s fair. I definitely recommend it. The green sauce a not so spicy for me would want something more spicy. Thank you.
