Ordered the quarter-chicken meal with dark meat chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. Overall it is good but it’s very similar to Pollo Tropical, which I love and am faithful to. I do recommend Chicken Planet as it’s located to various businesses in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly, and I received my to-go meal quickly.

I love this place so much. I came across it because there was an amazing smell coming from my work break room. I asked my coworker what he was eating and he told me it was Chicken Planet. He told me the pricing is very reasonable as well and that it is his favorite place. I kept it in mind for months but never went because I assumed it was far from my office. One day I was wanting to take a walk so I thought I might as well walk to Chicken Planet and check it out. Turns out, the place is basically across the street from my work! It’s a very humble shop with a few places to sit and menu boards. The man working the register, whom I assume is the owner, was SO nice. He was telling me their salsa is very spicy and I told him I drink hot sauce so he gave me an extra one for free! Their salsa…TO DIE FOR. I love it so much you don’t understand. I could eat it EVERY DAY, but alas, I am rarely in the office. You can bet though, when I’m downtown and in the office, this is my GO-TO lunch spot! The prices are great, the food is amazing…you cannot go wrong!!! I think their chicken roll is my favorite but their grilled chicken is just so good. AHHH! I can’t choose!! Please try this place if you’re looking for delicious food at a reasonable cost. I promise you won’t regret it.

I’ve been going to Chicken Planet since they were on Jackson near State. Place is incredible. Fantastic chicken, great selection of sides and good bbq sauce to go along. Owner is super nice and the place is ultra efficient. If you are even near the loop and need a healthy lunch alternative – stop by Chicken Planet.

Half a chicken, a side, and pita for less than $7. Can’t beat it downtown in the Loop. Flavorful chicken is what they do best and they do it fast and friendly in a small place; don’t plan on eating there, you’re better off getting it to go and eating elsewhere with limited seating.
