I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicken meets Rice restaurant in Santa Clara. It has quickly become one of my top two favorite chicken rice establishments, second only to the renowned Nong’s Khao Man Gai in Portland.

Inside is ok, could be better. I don’t like small, noisy, crammed atmospheres. I am claustrophobic. In my opinion, rap music is not good for ANY establishment. However, the food, and service is EXCELLENT. Just would love a bigger space to eat inside.

My favorite is the hainan chicken with rice and scallion oil, the fried chicken is tender and flavorful. Great selection of sauces. Would recommend the spicy sauce if you can handle samyang-noodle spicy.

A great stop along the San Tomas Creek Trail for some light lunch or a zing of caffeine! I frequent this store for their chicken rice, but the star here has always been the Coffee Meets Tea. Sweet, icy, and strong!

This is the first place that we when first coming to visit San Fran. We found this place close to the airport and wanted to give it a try. We ordered the poached chicken and the fried panko chicken. The chicken was really good especially the fried panko. It had a great crunch with every bite! Their sauces all really good. Definitely would recommend this place.
