Ordered a 7 pc tender dinner. Got home to realize they only gave 5 chicken tenders. Also, the rolls weren’t the usual delicious rolls. They were plain, no butter and dry. Other than this, the food was good.

My son surprised me on Father’s Day evening wanting to take me out for supper wherever I wanted as he had been saving up money just for this day. We came to CE and ordered our usual meals. When we received our meals we noticed the chicken looked different. My wife and son took one bite and said their mouths were burning because it was so spicy. I could taste it also on mine but it was like someone started making it spicy chicken and then realized it wasn’t supposed to be. My wife and son took their food to the counter and said it was spicy and not regular. The lady behind the counter told them that “it’s all made the same.” Seriously?! My son spent $42 of his own money for a Father’s Day meal that neither him or my wife could eat and that’s it? Basically just telling them they are SOL. My son forced himself to eat 2 of the tenders because he was hungry but couldn’t eat anymore because his mouth was burning, he also said his Mac and cheese was gross. Then he woke up that night throwing up. Thanks for ruining my Father’s Day meal that my son was so excited to get me. Will be going somewhere else next time.

Service was great. We got what we ordered. Most of the food was pretty good. Macaroni & cheese and the mashed potatoes were good. Green beans were just so-so. The chicken was fresh and juicy, but it was VERY bland and without flavor. That was very disappointing for a fried chicken restaurant. They did have a powder seasoning called “serendipity” that was surpringly very good when when put on the chicken.

Came out of town for visit for work and my food was warm not even hot. I order only a few side dishes and it couldn’t be hot. Also, the lady that took my payment looked kinda fishy. While I turned away and look back she had her phone out and it looked like she snap a photo of my card. I immediately cancel my card. She saw me and acted kinda nervous. I won’t be coming here. Like how long does it take to swipe my card and get my receipt. Took her awhile. Also, why are you on your phone when working the drive thru.

I always order gizzards for my husband and brothers. They are usually pretty good. First they got my order wrong. Then the gizzards were pale in color and soggy. So I had to air fry them. ☹️

Chicken express does it right!!!! The biscuits are like KFC biscuits used to be. Now kfc biscuits are just basically flour rocks. Chicken strips are always perfect here!

I almost didn’t go here last night. I read the bad reviews and almost went somewhere else. I really wanted fried chicken though so I didn’t skip it. I’m glad I didn’t. The food was seriously delicious. The guy behind the cash register was super nice and helpful. I wish I lived here. I would eat here once a week. I got the chicken gizzards. They were amazing! I also got a chicken thigh. It was juicy and cooked perfect. The gravy and the sweet tea were also both above standard!

Went thru drive thru 845 at 930 I was still in line I watched the employees box my order including fries when I arrived at the window after sitting for 20 mins I was asked for my money so I handed them cash and asked for fresh fries as I seen them sitting there for 20 mins the girl slammed the window and told them to make fresh fries the girl behind her rolled her eyes and started cursing I then knocked on the window and asked for my money as I didn’t want to eat from here after everything I had watched them do
