Food is made to order, hot when served. Generous portions! Fish was cooked perfectly and had good seasoning. There’s nowhere to eat on site, so eat on your car or take it home. Price is better than a lot of fast food places and the food is definitely better.

Small little joint, I heard about on Yelp. Some claim it’s the best fried chicken on this side of the river, so I had to try it out. The lady at the window was very nice. She let me know before I ordered that it would be a 30min wait. I told her that was fine as I looked over the menu. I settled on the wing dinner and got a 4pc leg for hubby. Both with fries. I sat in the car and watched people come and go rather quickly. They even have a drive thru. I don’t think I waited long before the little lady called out to me, waving her hand. I grabbed my food and headed home, which took about 7-10mins. When I got home, the food was still warm, just the way I liked it!

The Chicken Coop is kind of hidden due to poor signage, but you find it, it’s worth the search. Reasonable pricing and delicious food. Best of all you are supporting small business in our community. You will have to wait because the food isn’t kept warm under a heat lamp. It is cooked to order so you know it is hot and fresh made just for you.

If you’re comparing it to KFC, you’ll find the pieces if chicken are smaller. They must use little chickens. We got a 10 piece with two sides. About $22.00. The skin on the chicken was the best part. If you’re in a hurry, call ahead or you will wait 20 minutes, even if there is no line.
