In 2000 a team of 6 owners & managers came together with more than a century’s worth of restaurant experience to open Chicago Sam’s Sports Bar & Grille. The idea was to open a sports bar with the good looks of a chain yet maintain the heart & soul of a local pub. The founding principal remains, Chicago Sam’s Enfield is a place that ANYONE can come to for a bite to eat, a refreshing cocktail, laugh with friends & watch the game in a FUN, SAFE, CLEAN, WELCOME ATMOSPHERE.
That thinking & determination has led to 16 years of success & the expansion of our sister locaion in 2011, Chicago Sam’s Cromwell.
Massive sports bar with lots of TVs, American pub grub & events like themed trivia & live bands. Based on 874 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.9 stars. Price $$

We had a company after work gathering here. Since we had a big group the service was attentive. There were good selection of beers and cocktails. The place was spacious inside with lots of TVs, pool tables, darts, etc. There were outdoor seatings as well although I would not feel comfortable sitting outside as there were speakers playing music too loud. The food was okay, typical bar food, less impressive. A good place for happy hour or just for having fun.

I did not have a meal. But my drink came out wrong and the bartender got irritated and tried to switch the blame on me when he returned the second time my lemon drop martini had sugar and lemon concentrate all over the outside of the glass and it was not very good. I went to walk outside, and bouncer/ doorman said goodnight.

Wasn’t going to bother making a review but here goes. I went here with two friends a few days ago. Experience was fine, food was good and waitress very friendly. No problem except I checked my bank account and saw they charged me a $1 increase from my amount (I had an $18 tab and tipped $2 … she added an extra $1) whatever. I was scammed a buck. My friend messaged me today telling me to check my bank as they were charged an extra $10! Just be wary this business is okay with illegally taking your money!

This is a sports bar with pool tables, darts, and basketball games. Tv’s are wall to wall showing a variety of sports events.

What a beautiful night I hadn’t been there in years but this place hasn’t lost its touch plenty of room good music and wonderful food. The gentleman at the door was very friendly and very nice I like the way he treated the customers when they came through the door he made them feel welcome good job. I was able to perform with the band they did a wonderful job. Carla and Daryl stole the show I’ll definitely be back thank you for staying true to a changing community. Bag Man approved

Since I moved to cromwell I’ve been to Chicago sams quite a bit. Ever since the menu remodel, the food has been pretty good and I like having a cocktail menu to choose from. Waitresses have always been very pleasant, offering drink recommendations even before there was a drink menu. However, last night we were charged $10 a person at 7pm for a band that was supposed to start at 8pm. The band did not start until after 8:40 when we paid our bill and left. Not to mention we asked about getting a table and were told “your best bet is at the bar”. We then walked around for a few minutes before finally finding the last 2 bar seats. Waitresses are amazing and friendly but your door guy needs to improve. I don’t think we’ll be coming back for a while.

WOW! Won’t ever go there again. Loud, noisy, kids running all over the place. No seats at the gigantic bar. No waitresses! Poor service. And constant, unintelligible chattering coming from a guy doing trivia! We tried to go outside and smoke, leaving food and drink on the table and the waitress came chasing us thinking were running out on the over priced bill. And let’s not even address the mess in the parking lot on game day!

I did not go here to watch a game, or see a band. My review is based on my impression when I went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon.

It would’ve been nice to hear the band that we paid a $10 cover fee each for an hour before the event. But, we ended up leaving at 8:40 (40 minutes into the band is supposed to be playing). Honestly what was the point of paying the cover fee an hour and forty five minutes before the band even played one song. That money could’ve been used to buy more drinks or food. It wasn’t even worth attempting to get a refund because I couldn’t even find the guy to ask for a refund! It honestly sucked and as regulars here we feel cheated. The only plus was the bartenders were amazing. There needs to be better organization especially on nights with bands. For now, I think we will go to Taphouse 150 down the road.
