Ordered large gizzard and 4 chicken tenders. Had to wait a little bit because the gizzard had to be deep fried. The gizzard were not worth eggs money or the wait! The gizzard were tough, chewy and certainly not done right at all! The genders were obviously in the warmer for a while and were only luke warm. Don’t know what they are doing at this location but certainly not the Chester’s I remember! Would’ve rather had Macdonalds which is right next door!

Just stopped in on a road trip. The chicken was old and funky tasting. And the pie was so old the filling had dried almost to nothing and the shell was hard. Absolutely disgusting and over priced. Change your oil, throw out old food… have some pride in what you do… never again!!!

First time, chicken sandwich was good but the service was better! Parker alone is worth eating here, he’s hilarious and super friendly and helpful.

After waiting at the counter for a minute or so, no response or acknowledgment from staff that I was at the counter. I raised my voice and said knock, knock as I poked my head into kitchen door way. I then asked an employee standing just inside if I could have some chicken and walked back to counter. Then I was rudely service by another person and told never to do that again… there are no signs posted employees only. There is open door as well as an unobstructed walk way to enter. After nicely pleading my case as to why I walked back, she then told me she can see me on a camera. The pointed out there is a bell. Once again, no sign letting anyone know, and it is a door bell mount med on the wall adjacent the counter ( like anyone would know what it’s for on their first visit). Might be nice to have a sign out informing customers instead of rudely demanding that you do not do that again! Or using we are at a truck stop with foreign people as excuse to be sharp in tone with your words. With service like that, I hope the food is good. Otherwise no reason sales are down! As for the food, It was average for a chicken shack. Still better than fast food nuggets. I hope someone sees this this and implements better actions in an obliviously flawed workflow. Will not return to Chester’s any time soon. Have a great day.

Ended up being $120, with a discount, for 50 tenders and 2 sides. There’s a reason they won’t post the prices. The chicken wasn’t worth it

Paul loves the chicken tenders and potatoe wedges. The gentleman serving us was very polite and super nice throughout our visit.

No, this is not fine dining, and the dude behind the counter may not be a genius ..he fries chicken. I think people are a little too greedy with their reviews on this place. It was clean, the wife went in and got us 6 chicken tenders and some potatoes and the total was very reasonable. It helped because we were travelling and short on funds. I write a lot of reviews. I’m gonna give this place a break, why? because the food was decent. The pieces of chicken were large and we ate for like $10.00. They were also pretty quick as well. I think they earned it.

Horrible! I ordered a chicken sandwich, the top bun was to hard to eat and the bottom was to soggy. The pickle was soggy and burned my mouth!! It was very old, like it was sitting under the warmer all day. Horrible and now my lip is burned!! I’m so angry worst sandwich I’ve ever had..

Visited this location Yesterday, first I would like to say that My husband and I try our best not to eat out but since were over the road right now so if were going to eat we would like it hot and fresh. Gave it two stars because the food was ok and the cashier/cook didnt give us a problem. She was cooking chicken tenders when we came up which is what my husband wanted so I asked her if He could get an order of the tenders that she was bringing up even though it was about 15 tenders that had already been sitting there. She looked at Me with a deep stare/straight face, looked at the tenders that were already in the warmer and then said yes. I knew she really didnt want to but she did. Then we ordered and I wanted okra which it wasnt much in the warmer but I asked her if she could drop them fresh and she was like ok, at that point even though the look on her face said otherwise. Didnt like the fact the same person that was taking orders was the same person cooking the food. She was doing multiple things at one time. I’m really giving up on Chester’s because of how their system is, I’m assuming it puts the workers in a position especially because of how the food is just sitting in a warmer and they have to sell it even after it’s been up for a while and all dried out.

Extremely disappointed! I ordered a eight piece dinner 12 potato wedges two sides and four biscuits. I did not want potato wedges so they offered me another side. I chose coleslaw, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. When I came home with my food there was only 7 pieces, a breast was missing and two biscuits not four. The green beans were soggy an the potatoes/gravy were like glue. The chicken, biscuits and slaw were ok. Not going back again wish I walked out they seemed overwhelmed and annoyed.
