First time visitor to the Cherokee Tavern last night. The atmosphere was very much in line with an upscale establishment but not the least bit stuffy. The food was incredible, the steak and sides were all very good. It was a busy night so the staff can be excused if they were a bit harried. I’ll most definitely return.

Have been here twice in the last couple weeks. The first time we went and it was a little bit of an off night and things could have been better. The chef contacted me directly and wanted to make it up to us and did so. The second time we went we had a fantastic experience the food was fantastic my steak was just right. Would recommend for several reasons including that they really care that their customers are satisfied and had a good experience.

Went for their birthday Thursday special. Seated promptly. I was allowed to upgrade the free birthday meal by paying the difference in cost of the larger steak which I appreciated. Service was excellent. Food came out extremely fast and everything tasted very good. I was especially impressed with the Ceaser Salad and onion rings, spectacular! They also brought out a little piece of birthday cake which was a pleasant surprise!

We three family members went with anticipation to have GREAT dinner commemorating a recent birthday. Instead, two of us had a So-So dinner. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Tips meal and daughter, the birthday gal, ordered the best, most pricey steak on the menu- the $32.00 one whose name I can’t recall. I asked that my Tenderloin Tips be cooked so that cutting into them would reveal a pink, not bloody, inside. Cutting into them revealed they were rare and raw-looking. They had to be returned twice to get to where I could eat them. And…chewing them was work…they were anything but tender . The $32.00 steak my daughter ordered arrived too rare for her taste and had to be sent back for more grilling too. Plus, a small portion of her steak was gristle and muscle; for that price, every bite should have been edible!
