We have been looking for a great place to get Chinese and Teriyaki in San Tan Valley. We came across Chen’s Chinese Restaurant on a Google search and read the reviews which were saying amazing things about the food, and overall showing collectively as 5 stars. So we ordered Chicken Teriyaki, 2 spring rolls and Sweet & Sour Chicken for delivery. The delivery stated it would arrive within 30 minutes and arrived 25 minutes after we ordered. Great we thought! However, both the Chicken Teriyaki and Sweet & Sour Chicken were so dry and rubbery-chewy we thought they were cooked yesterday! Plus they were at best, hardley warm. The two Spring rolls looked a light tan color and when we took a bite, they were cold and the veggies were crunchy on the inside. The best part of what we ordered was the rice. Neither of us finished and all of it ended up in the trash. Very, very, very disappointed and we will never order from here again. I am now left wondering if the reviews are super old or posted by employees. Guess we are back to looking.

I wish I could put 0 stars. We use to order from here often. This past year the food and service have gone down hill. This last time our food was very cold and absolutely No flavor. None of us ate very much and into the trash it went.

We ordered for the first time from here. The food was below expectations! The fried rice had no flavor, the chicken was literally white like it was boiler and added to the rice. I have never had Chinese fried rice this bland. Next, we ordered the kung pou chicken…which is a spicy dish! This one was sweet and very watery. I was surprised to be honest. Panda express is much better tasting Chinese food than this!

MooShu was already wrapped, wraps tasted burned. Asked for extra plum sauce and sweet n sour sauce , didn’t get any. Didn’t have enough for our crab puffs. Delivery was fantastic and early.

This was our 1st time here. We have been in the area for 5 years & couldn’t find any Chinese restaurant to our liking. Not sure how we’ve missed this place but we did. Food was good, very tasty, big portions & friendly staff at counter. The employees were very pleasant we will def be going here again since they are so close to us!

I’m so happy I found this place! They were very nice when I called and even nicer when I went in to pick up our order in person. I ordered the sesame chicken, fried rice, and 2 spring rolls. All of my favorites. They packaged it so cute and they give a very nice size portion. This place isn’t getting the recognition it deserves. My boyfriend even liked them and he’s very picky. If your looking for yummy hot and fresh Chinese food go to Chen’s. Can’t wait to go back ♥️
