Chennai tiffins serves up probably the best south Indian food there in RI. We tried goat chettinadu curry, chicken biriyani, fish curry and a few naan bread and parottas. Everything was made with great ingredients and taste akin to hike cooking. Excellent food.

After ordering takeout from here several times, I can attest that Chennai Tiffins has THE most authentic South Indian food in the area, with an amazing variety of Chettinad specialties. Some of my favorite menu items include onion pakoras, podi idli, vegetable kothu parotta, and chettinad vegetable biryani. Very fresh, flavorful, and aromatic with a complex mixture of spices. Nice assortment of condiments (mint cilantro chutney, tamarind chutney, spicy pakora sauce, raita) as well. Best to call in orders for pickup. Very reasonably priced, highly recommended.

We used to be regular customers here for almost a year. I think there is a change in the management and the food doesn’t taste good. The salna is watery, the sambar didn’t have salt. The waitress wasn’t answering politely.
