Reading these reviews is interesting. If you’re not familiar with truly authentic Sichuan (Szechuan) cuisine, you may not understand this food. If you do understand the nuances of the various regions of China and are looking for some truly spectacular and masterful use of Sichuan spices and peppers, then you found the right place. This food was amazingly intricate, delicate where needed, plenty of spice but not rip your face off hot. Loads of Szechuan peppercorns used for that floral essence and amazing depth of flavors. Out favs were Chili oil wontons, Dan Dan noodles (amazing), cumin beef. The seating is a bit odd, the wall covering very nice. Service was prompt but not friendly. But hey, what do you expect from a hole in the wall authentic mom n pop? This place is awesome..

I have eaten here twice now and both times have been phenomenal. I grew up in Seattle which has a large Asian food restaurant population so I’d like to think I have good taste. Both times we came here we got the pan fried dumplings (added soy sauce and chili oil to the dipping sauce), curry beef (meat only no veg) and general Tao’s chicken (not pictured). The meat is flavorful and tender, the rice is cooked perfectly, the dumplings are nice and crunchy with a very flavorful filling. My husband gives the general Tao’s an 7.5/10, good sweet/spicy balance. We will continue to come back.

Chengdu 7 is AMAZING! We ordered the Kung Pao Tofu and the Homestyle Tofu. Both were delicious and spiced well. Not too spicy but a good kick. If you like it super spicy I’d make a note.

This is our new favorite restaurant for authentic Chinese cuisine! We have spent a fair amount of time in China and were introduced to Chengdu 7 by friends who lived in Chengdu to 15+ years. Super delicious food that makes me so happy.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered Szechuan noodles, mustard fungus, beef pancake, grandma-style braised pig knuckle, and pea tips in garlic sauce. Everything was so fresh! The flavors were very distinct and not muddled at all.

We were at the nearby bond brothers and ordered take out from here. A decent classic Chinese restaurant. Their stir fry lamb cumin is very spicy! The general tsaos chicken was good and their green beans delicious.
