I had a fantastic experience at Chengdu 1! The service was friendly and welcoming, and the variety of food available was impressive – they really do have everything you could want for Chinese cuisine. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with seasonal Szechuan specialties on offer that were especially delicious. I was thrilled to see dim sum available at all times, with carts rolling out on the weekends – it added to the authentic experience. The hot and sour soup was a standout, as were the shrimp dim sum. And to top it all off, we had a blast celebrating my son’s birthday there. The restaurant itself is unpretentious, despite being called ‘the palace,’ and they even offer a take-out option for those who prefer to enjoy their meal at home. I highly recommend Chengdu 1 to anyone looking for top-quality Chinese food in a welcoming, no-fuss environment.

Chengdu 1 serves fresh, great tasting Sichuan style Chinese food. We ordered the scallion pancakes, Dan Dan noodles, and fish filet with hot oil. All the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant is also very spacious and well maintained, and the staff are friendly. Recommend to anyone looking to try authentic Chinese food

The food from the carts was quite good. Loved their soup dumplings. Better than many in China Town. The service was OK but disorganized. They let us dehydrate until half of the meal. They did not come to take our order and were already offering small plates from the cart before the whole party was already present. No big deal, go for their delicious food, not for their service and you will be happy. The soups were nothing special. Maybe Sundays is a special day for the dim sum carts. Will be back for it.

I visited Chengdu 1 Palace for lunch this past weekend with friends. I was very impressed by their menu since they offered soup dumplings, which is something I rarely see at dim sum restaurants. The food we ordered was quite delicious while also being reasonably priced.

When we arrived at 11AM it was not crowded but they had a lot of Dim Sum to choose from. Everything was fresh & hot. We had their soup dumplings & assorted Dim Sum selections. All were good especially their sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. By the time we finished our meal the restaurant was pretty full. We will return again try more selections.

was curious about this place as it was near a previous dim sum place we went to a couple of times… the reviews were great too so i said why not try something new… unfortunately it does not compare to the ones we usually frequent… i would have given them another star if the dan dan noodles was passable… but that too was only worth one slurp… at least we tried… so you don’t have to…

Delicious food! One hundred percent recommend for the quality of food. Staff is usually pretty nice and attentive enough. Clean interior. Not as nice as it was pre Covid but still okay. I would prefer if more of the staff wore masks but still comfortable enough. I recommend the fish filet in spicy chili oil or the dry sautéed green beans. Their dim sum options were really good before the pandemic but I think they still serve them by order. I posted a handful of dishes that I enjoyed or would recommend.
