This is one of those places that we knew was a tourist trap, but wanted to see the appeal anyway. We went in a little worried because recent reviews said service was non-existent, but it proved the opposite. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was good. I think Alaska prices make it a little pricier than it typically would be. We wanted to try the salmon or halibut, but we are still new to fish and didn’t want to dive head first, so we went with the seafood fettuccine as well as the elk meatloaf. My only complaint with the food was that my mashed potatoes were really cold. The rest of the meat and veggies were hot, but the potatoes even though they still tasted amazing; cold. The fettuccine was really good. There was large chunks of vegetables as well as good sized pieces of salmon, halibut, and shrimp. The house salad was a bit boring for the price. I think that could have used more toppings just because $10 is steep for just lettuce and a little bit of carrots. Otherwise, this was one of those places we have gone to and it was good, but nothing I need to return to. It wasn’t bad, I just wouldn’t have a reason to go back.

Had dinner last night ,the food was fantastic! They use hot plates so food comes out hot and fresh ! We had the seafood chowder which was amazing ! Tried the calamari which is strips and comes with an apricot chili sauce which was so delicious we ordered coconut shrimp with the same sauce . Be sure to ask for the bread with pesto ! Add some wine for a lovely evening

Settled on the River, live music, nice outdoor deck. Said we had an hour wait, but seated in 35 minutes. Attentive wait staff, and good food.

Good waiter. Tried his best to make us feel comfortable. Nice good food. It’s just pricey though for one person.

The Halibut was fantastic. Nice large filet with good seasoning and cooked to perfection. Would like to see a larger selection of beers. Highly recommended.

First of all the meal was exquisite. I would give it five stars. Long time that I ate this good. Unfortunately the service was subpar. We asked for a place in the shade which was not possible although only half of the outside places where occupied. No one was inside. Plate of my partner was already removed while I was still eating. Two minutes later check was already put on the table Aldo while I was still eating. Heard that a lot had to do with shortage of personel but zeven then … train them the basics of serving in a restaurant. What I ate was the fettucini with seafood

Our first night in Fairbanks after a long day of travel and the waitress was incredible nice and helpful especially with our tired kids. The food was great and the restaurant was right on the river with great views.

Walked up from Pikes Waterfront Lodge to dine here and was pleasently surprised. Service was super friendly and the food was great. Sunday night guitarist provided an excellent atmosphere. Certainly our best dinner in Fairbanks. If your staying at Pikes don’t be lazy, do yourself a favour and take the 10 minute walk up the road it is well worth the effort.
