Superb everything. From entering, the welcoming staff and views. We were seated in a comfortable booth with night time views of Mississippi. This is inside thw Four Seasons Hotel, where we also were staying. We had two servers, which seems to be standard with upscale dining here and I love that. Perfect service, excellent cocktails and dinner. The lighting was perfect. Pool happens to be just outside of this restaurant. Beautiful view of towering other half of hotel over pool which also has cabanas. Would absolutely return.

Chemin à la mer is an upper class restaurant with a gorgeous river view. The food is very good and the service is really first class. This is a really get dressed and have a very nice dinner kind of place. For a fine dining experience in a really nice restaurant this is a place to try. Very nice and worth the price.

The blue crab/tomato salad and baked feta are so good I had to come back twice during a 5 day stay. Cocktails are excellent too. See Rene for best tequila espresso martini!

Great location and the view to the Mississippi river! Guys, we do know what quality service is, and at some point it started crumbling… Waitress Paola saved our evening with her professional attitude and manners! Ask for Paola to make your dinner special!

I gave this restaurant two tries before coming up with this review. There’s something missing that makes this a quality restaurant. My first time there, it was a busy evening dinner. The time between our appetizer and entree was 40 minutes and the entree came out cold. My second time, I came for Sunday lunch. We got seated by the window and the view was spectacular. Both times, the service is always good when it starts, but as the meal progressed on, it’s like the service disappears. There was no one to come by and ask if we needed anything so we can order more drinks. The entree plates weren’t cleared from the table like it was for the appetizers. I ordered the shrimp entree and my shrimp were not de-veined. It was cut and like they had the intentions to remove it but it wasn’t done. Besides being at a great location, the restaurant is underwhelming. There are so many other restaurants in New Orleans that are better. I don’t think I’ll be giving this place a third try.

We where on a trip with friends, three couples having a wonderful long weekend in New Orleans. “Chemin a la Mer” was supposed to be the pieze de résistance. After having expérienced a phenomenal three hour food tour, lunch at Napoleon’s, dinner at Antoine’s during the time there, Chemin ruined the closing night. We came ready to spend, ordered 2 bottles of a very good $130 dlls wine to start. We ordered the 35 oz côté de boeuf to share. Ordered medium. It was served rare. We politely asked for it to be cooked more. It came back to the table rare again. (The pictures are of the steak after it came back the second time) The seasonal vegetables, where a very small portion of broccoli. Wish server would’ve let us know it was broccoli and the portion was really individual. This would’ve helped manage expectations. As far as the meal, the manager took care of it and was very apologetic. He did not charge us for the steak. They gave us several amazing desserts on the house as well. All of this took time to sort out of course. We where hungry therefore ordered some more fries which where delicious, second bread basket to fill us up. Should’ve taken a picture of the desserts to balance this review out. In any case this restaurant has potential but sadly too many options in New Orleans to be back. Did tip waitress 20% by the way. Everyone lost in this one.

I think the vibe is great and the service was impeccable! For the price paid, I do think the food should have been out of this world. While the food was really good…there was a potato side that was bland and didn’t have enough flavor. I was also really hoping to get crab and they were out. For these reasons I can’t give 5 stars.

Other’s reviews and previous underwhelming hotel restaurant experiences made me tepid prior to our visit, but we thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. Nothing was amiss and everything on point. Shoutout to Randall and the gentleman behind the raw bar whose name we didn’t catch.

Ive been to this restaurant few times best service super friendly but for whatever reason my last experience makes me never want to come back. it was a saturday night and we waited for our table in the middle dining area that we booked for but suggested we could eat at the tables by the bar instead because theres a wait.. we said we dont mind waiting.. when we went to go get seated i can see many open tables in the middle dining area but they sat me and my friend in the back by the wall and a whole tall plant tree pretty much in my face and honestly i felt discriminated because we were the only asians there. my waiter barely checked on us. gave us dirty dishware and when we asked for a clean one and napkins he left the dirty one on our table and gave us ONE napkin.. we also ordered a dozen of oysters two of each kind. the boy came and place the oysters down and just left and i wouldve liked to know which one i was eating and i waited a while til he came back to my table and asked him to tell me which one was which and he made a smart comment saying “would you like me to tell you which one is which?” then hes like let me try without my cheat sheet and honestly he was wrong both of our plates was plated different and since im in the back of the restaurant i can see everything and how he kept checking on his other tables often. i wasnt sure what was said but he stoped serving us and two others started accommodating us and was very nice but overwall i wont be back i took a video but i cant post it so the pictures are gonna be little blurry

Beautiful restaurant within the well-crafted Four Seasons Hotel. I visit often for breakfast and it is the best in New Orleans – you HAVE TO have the pancakes! The service is great and shout out to Archie who is always so personable.
