Small unassuming place. Super friendly staff. Delicious food. Birria tacos are especially noteworthy. Tender braised beef filling and lots of it, crispy tortillas, fresh onions and cilantro, and heavenly birria dipping sauce. Every bite perfection. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. Currently only accepts cash, cashapp, and Venmo so be aware of that. No credit cards accepted at the time of this review.

Not your typical restaurant serving you salsa and chips before your meal and you buy your individual beverage. No sweet tea no refills. That being said the food itself was good. And presented well. There was no need for extra service as I said you get no refills and instead of chips we got pork rinds to our surprise. If you called in for takeout there would be less criticism about the drinks and chips.

I don’t normally review a place and when I do, it’s usually bad. However, this time bad food is not the case. I have unashamedly had my husband order from Chela’s multiple times and every single time it has been as amazing or better (if that is somehow possible) than the last time we ate it. I have not been to the place when my husband picks it up because I don’t think I would be able to stop myself from hugging this woman. The Barilla tacos are without a doubt THE best thing I have ever eaten! Full of flavor in both the tacos and the Barilla dip. Every single bite is like enjoying a piece of heaven and when it’s over you’re almost sad that it’s gone. The Empanadas are another household favorite as the pocket is perfectly fried and the insides are once again full of flavor and don’t even get me started on the salsa that comes with it, it is the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. This is by far my favorite restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who has ears and can eat. I would give it 20 stars if possible, but 5 will have to do!
