A friend turned us on to Chef-X at 1600 Idlewild Ave in Green Cove Springs, FL, and I must say it’s just another hidden gem that’s not to be missed. This perfect “hole-in-the-wall” eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. Delicious food, fantastic friendly service, family friendly atmosphere. If you haven’t been here, you’re sleeping on breakfast! More food than you can eat! Giant pancakes, better than mom’s. I had the breakfast burrito. Will definitely return to try their lunch/ dinner menu.

Best pulled pork sandwich I have EVER eaten, hands down. It was so good I could lick the plate! The house bbq was magic and the fries were AH-mazing! Seriously this might become my new fave restaurant! My son got the cheeseburger but he ate it alllll b4 I could snap a pic. Suffice it to say, EAT HERE! YOU’LL LOVE IT!!! ❤️

Really good grilled chicken sandwich. Patty melt was good too. Fries are really good and crunchy. The location of the business is not in the greatest of neighborhoods, so watch your wallet or purse carefully.

Okay full disclosure when my husband picked this place I was SUS. Middle of nowhere sharing a building with a gas station?? I was scared, but options in green cove are very limited. I ended up eating my words, the staff is super nice and the food was amazing. Best French fries I’ve had in a while! And the burger wrap, *chefs kiss*. 10/10 would recommend and would absolutely go back.

Decided to be a little adventurous and try a new spot chef x was a very good choice. Kinda looks like a small hole in the wall from the outside but it had a clean and nice decore and great service. We had the pulled pork snack fries absolutely amazing must try pineapples Caribbean jerk sauce drizzled queso cheese awesome fries must try. We also had the cheese burger and it was above average with killer fries. Very affordable and a good menu. Must try will not be disappointed.

Wow! Everyone in my neighborhood kept talking about this place so we finally gave it a shot! So glad we did! The Caribbean jack nachos were to die for and the cheesecake was the best I’ve had in a long time! Great service and lovely smiling faces as well! Get out and support this small business. I owned this place over 30 years ago. Was nice to see it open again. The new owners have done a nice job with the place. Very clean and although I only had coffee a friend with me had a lite breakfast that looked pretty tasty 🙂

This was our second time eating here. Both times we got it to-go. First time I got a burger that was super delic & my husband got the pulled pork nachos. This time, we both went with the snack fries. The staff is so wonderful & courteous! When I called, they knew who I was & addressed me accordingly (I am assuming from the first order I placed). It was really nice to be remembered after 1 previous order. Also, I like that they text once your food is ready! Hoping to try their breakfast soon!
