Had the lassi, korma and butter chicken for the first time. Could be spicier, wish they offered a spice level option, but the flavor is soooo on point. Definitely a yumdidly. Try it you won’t be upset. It’s hot inside but it wasn’t unbearable. BYOB.

Went for dinner. We were a table of four and we all got something different. Each meal was so flavorful and had different tastes. I had the Goat Biryani, which was delicious. The butter chicken was also just as good. The staff was wonderful as well!

This is my second time enjoying the food from here, and my first visiting the restaurant proper. The service was outstanding and our server was incredibly friendly. The food was phenomenal. I had a spicy lamb vindaloo and it tasted so good and the spice level was perfect. Finished up with a mango lassi to square it out and smooth out the spice.

I read the reviews prior to coming to Chef Lama. They definitely paid attention to the reviews because they had nice, light music playing in the background. My husband and I split the samosa. He got the palak paneer. I got the chicken thali. Everything was SO good, plain and simple. The food that was meant to be cold, was cold. The food that was meant to be hot, was hot. The staff were very friendly; our waitress described each dish in my thali when she presented it to me. Definitely the new, best Indian restaurant in town. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends.

Ate here for the first time this evening. Our table got a few things to try between the four of us. The samosas were very flavorful! The naan was delicious! The assorted meats were full of flavor. Service was very nice and food came out quickly.

The atmosphere is beautiful but also very humble and welcoming. The decor is cheerful, and while they either didn’t have A/C or it was broken, the server sat us near the upright fans. I thought this was a very kind gesture. My husband got vegetarian Indian food and I got vegetarian Nepali food; we were both given the options of mild/medium/spicy. The food was visually appealing and delicious. Our server was attentive and prompt. I definitely want to go back!

Well, glad to have another Indianish restaurant in the area. I especially do like Indian buffet. Value is important to me. I rate restaurants by the food in comparison to the cost. For a $20 meal, even buffet, I would have expected much more. It was good, spice level very low, but that is my preference and this is PA.

Three of us had a very enjoyable dinner. Delicious appetizers, main courses and desserts. Full flavored and appropriate spice levels. Not familiar with Nepali cuisine but the very helpful waiter suggested an appetizer and a main that we all enjoyed along with the more familiar Indian fare. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Very happy to have a great Indian/Nepali option in York!

Last evening was a first-time visit and three generations were very pleased. Halfway through dinner as she experienced this cuisine for the first time, my nine-year-old granddaughter asked, “When can we come back?” Quality of food, attentive service and value all worthy of five stars.
