This Chinese restaurant serves both traditional Chinese food and American Chinese food. You can probably find three other American Chinese places as you drive up south rand road, but if you are a little fluent with Chinese, it’s kind of like being able to being able to access their “hidden” menu.

OH MY GOD!!! For all these years living in the neighborhood, I’ve never been to this hidden gem!! If I say this place is authentic, you’d better believe it. Why? I was both and raised in China, 27 years living in China. And, I was born in the year of pig. My life is all about eating. This place is THE best Chinese restaurant in the northwest suburbs. It’s specialized in Chengdu culinary style, spicy and numbing. I’m sorry if you don’t think it’s real Chinese food because it’s not the typical sweet and sour stuff that you get from “Chinese restaurants”. I posted the entire menu so my Chinese fellas (you are welcome!) can see what you are REALLY looking at here. I had to call them to speak in Chinese for my pick up order because I don’t understand English menu for my Chinese food. Thank you Chef Bo for being who you are and for cooking the authentic cuisine that deserves a million stars!!! Hands and knees, thank you!!! Especially for this special time, I haven’t been home for so long due to COVID travel restrictions, your cooking has comforted my heart for longing home. Food is fantastic. Had the kung pao shrimp ! Enough shrimp in the dish for 2 meals. Great value. I picked up a large kung pao and a large chicken fried rice for my wife. There wasn’t any steamed or fried rice for the kung pao.

Really expensive and food is average suburban Chinese. Nothing exceptional. I ordered 2 large entrees, hot and sour soup, and pot stickers over $72!! I canceled order and ordered just as good Chinese from China Garden in barrington same items $46 delivered.
