I was really excited to try this place since it’s so close to me and I’m already a huge fan of the Mission Beach location. Food was a 2/5 for me. I ordered a grilled cheese with Mac and cheese and bacon. I feel like they could of put more on the sandwich and the Mac and cheese was hella bland. The customer service was really friendly. I know this is a new location and the employees are probably still learning the menu but for my first experience I wasn’t a fan. Hoping as time goes by it gets better!

We attended the soft opening on the 18th of the new Cheesy Express in Santee. After months of reading and admiring the signage, we were excited to hear they’d finally be open! With a grand opening on the 26th, we knew the wait would be well worth it.

Super friendly crew and the food and pricing was great. I got the Italian that has pepperoni and sundried tomatoes in it and it was great! Looking forward to coming back with my wife. shhhhhh, don’t tell her I went without her!

I really tried to refrain from writing this review, but your business has already lost a customer before you even opened. This is because I don’t honestly believe it is actually coming. I mean I see the building and signage but we were told they would be opening in late October early November and now we are being told it will be much later, possibly after the new year. My issue is this business popped up in Santee years ago and disappeared, probably for financial reasons, but it is disappointing that other sandwich shops have opened up in faster times even after the Santee location was announced. Sorry but I just have lost faith and with gas as high as it is, I just don’t want to go out of my way and spend that kind of money on a sandwich AND high gas prices. Sad. Really sad.
