Cheese steak was delicious. I’m used to their location in Walnut Creek. However, I got really bad food poisoning. 48 hours later I’m still not eating right. Wasn’t worth coming back. Really bummed. 1:30pm on a Sunday and I guess they were serving under-cooked leftovers? That’s my guess. Sorry folks.

I usually love this place but not this time. I ordered 2 cheesesteaks to go and they came in a box. Not wrapped to stay warm like usual. So by the time I was able to eat it besides it being cold the bread was getting hard and the meat wasn’t looking so good. Like it had been sitting opened and unwrapped for a while. And the box wouldn’t stay closed. And even if it did it still wasn’t wrapped like usual to keep it warm for now or for a snack later. Go back to doing things the way they were. Probably won’t eat there for a while.

A few months ago I had the best cheesesteak experience at this location. The last three times we have been here the order has been wrong, they have given us less than full meat when we pay for double meat, and today they did not give us double meat on four of our five sandwiches and did not close the lid on my sauce so $80 worth of sandwiches were ruined. Not to mention what the sauce did to my car. When we called to speak to the manager he basically said that it didn’t happen

Flat top could use a good cleaning as well the general cleanliness of the kitchen area. I would have preferred more care shown to my sandwich. There was very little cheese and more on the bread than in the meat. Roll could have been warmer; it could have been opened and placed face down on the flat top before placing the meat in the sandwich. Speed great, execution needs work in order represent Philly properly.

Every single weekend me and a group of friends come here. I love this place the staff is super friendly and the food in unrivaled. For a small shop they do more than a mean business. If you go there you gotta try the garlic bacon cheese steak it’s simply a work of art. Matter in fact I’m am going there right now.

Really wanted to give no stars, but it is mandatory to give at least 1 star! Ordered a cheesesteak and salad. Cheesesteak was ok, but not spot on. Salad was awful! Lettuce was so old that it wasn’t just brown, it was slimy and rotten! Also, no salad dressing! Mushrooms were old and spotty with several stems thrown in…nasty! Tomatoes were semi fresh. I threw the salad away…expensive toss. I have gone to Oakland, Lafayette and Walnut Creek for decades…but never again. I am sad that they have fallen from grace.

Chain franchise so you know what to expect. Food is always hot and thoughtfully prepared. Ordering is made pretty pleasant by nice and knowledgable staff members. I ordered the King Philly but was not warned about the size. I guess they figured I could handle it. Jeez Louise, that frickin thing is better shared with 2 people. Ok, could I eat it if I had to…yes, but post lunch work production would have suffered greatly. And doing anything athletic would be out of the question. Choose wisely.

4 stars for overall cheesesteak. 5 because it’s the best of what’s nearby. Sometimes the cheese isn’t all the way mixed into the meat leaving cheese lumps, but maybe that’s cause it’s so cheesy. Sadly, only provolone. No whiz. Greasy goodness. I’m a fan. King size is a great invention. It’s interesting that there are options other than cheesesteak. Pizza steak. Something with peppers. I dunno. I’m a purist. I eat cheesesteak. Maybe someday I’ll try others.
