The girlfriend and I wanted a small date night and after walking in to a rude experience at Applebee’s we decided to try Cheddar’s which we rarely go to. We had amazing service! Our waitress Mary was on top of every need and making sure we were enjoying ourselves (with not aggressively hovering lol) and all the while helping multiple other tables! It seems it’s hard to find exceptional service and both of us could not have been more amazed at how Mary treated us!

The first time I went here it was nice but just tonight I got the chicken sandwich and the size of it was ridiculous. I took a picture of it just to show how small. When I pointed that out I was told that maybe they cooked it too long. She was right. I made it through two bites, half of the chicken, and it was rubber. I could not finish it. She was so grateful to tell me that she removed it like I was going to pay for it. I would just go somewhere else to get food but if you have to stay away from the chicken.

The waitress we had was pretty good. I felt the wait time for our order was a little long considering there were only about 5 other customers seated before us, we arrived shortly after they opened. The food was delicious once we received it. My reason for only 3 stars though is some of our food was never brought out, even after bringing it to our waitresses attention. She kept saying it was the kitchen staffs fault & she was trying to get it.

Everything there was a good, solid average…except for the red beans and rice and the black beans. They were very good. The staff was not especially friendly, but they did give good service. I’ve had better ribs at Texas Roadhouse, which is in the area as well. They do not serve rolls with their dinners unless you buy them separately… and no problem telling one that either. The server got a large tip because we didn’t have a smaller bill. It was the same amount we gladly leave most other places with more friendly service. There are other better restaurants in the same area… with free rolls with dinner.
