Waitress was nice. If I had a question and she didn’t know she went and asked to get an answer for me which can be unusual for wait staff to do sometimes. Tried something I haven’t had at any Mexican restaurant before; the tacos Dorado. They were excellent, so highly recommend. My friend had the torta it’s a Mexican sandwich. She said it was delicious and just what she’d been wanting. The bread looked like it tasted amazing, which she said it did. Overall, we had a wonderful time. If you haven’t tried Chavela’s cause you like one of the other two Mexican places, you really need to try here cause you don’t know what hidden gem you might just be missing out on.

Chips were extremely stale, Rice was full of oil, and the chili relleno and the refried beans were good. I asked for fresh chips and was told by the server “they would have to cut and drop new ones, and they are really busy right now” and that they couldn’t do that. she also explained that the Chips were kept under a warming lamp, Which means they have been sitting there for a while to be as stale and hard as they were. There were only 3 other tables with people open in the entire restaurant. I won’t be coming back.

The service was wonderful, however the food was not so good. Food items were unavailable and when our food arrived it wasn’t what we asked for. We, however, did not complain so im sure if we were to say something they would have obliged our request. The atmosphere inside was bit drab.
