I don’t even know where to start or how to articulate how I feel after such an amazing, elating, and cosmic experience. My wife and I had the honor and pleasure of having our 10th wedding anniversary dinner at Chateaubriand 36 today. For such a milestone, a celebration of great magnitude is in order which the chef and staff at Chateaubriand 36 far exceeded at doing. It was my wife and I’d first time eating here and over my dead body will it be the last time. Every single item we ordered was nothing short of perfection. I knew butter was good, but the bread and trio butter spread (not pictured) showed me things I couldn’t think of in my wildest dreams. The rest of the dinner was like a journey. Starting with bewilderment, love, and passion but ending with sorrow due to the journey coming to an end. My taste buds have never been assaulted by flavor in such a manner before and it will forever be welcomed. The meats were cooked to their most immaculate and perfect consistency, an extent that is only done by a master of their craft. I’ve never wanted to hug a chef more after a meal but this one gives me the desire and drive to find the father of the chef and shake his hand for raising such a flaunt musician in the kitchen. To the staff of Chateaubriand 36, you welcome my wife and I with a journey of taste that only Tolkien could describe. You made our 10th anniversary memorable (especially with having the whole restaurant to ourselves thanks to the OSF). I look forward to our next experience at Chateaubriand 36 and long for the day I can experience and rejoice this magic again.

Absolutely amazing experience to celebrate an anniversary! Food was incredible but the staff were the best part of the evening. Chris was an absolutely amazing server, incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Glenn was the best restaurant manager I have ever met, he was so welcoming and hospitable.

This place will WOW you with the food and excellent service. Onion soup, Wedge salad, Risotto, Duck, Filet mignonette, roasted carrots, etc just delicious!! Drinks were well prepared and tasty! I was too full for the dessert but had a taste of the cream brûlée… lovely! Top 10 in Ashland and southern Oregon

I just traveled to Vegas and ate at Gordon Ramsey restaurant… let me tell you right now, this little restaurant in Ashland Oregon absolutely knocked its doors off!! The French Onion soup absolutely blew Gordon’s out of the water. I had the fillet mignon that was absolutely cooked to perfection, with the best flavor of a steak I’ve ever had in my entire life of living. The drinks were fabulous! The staff was incredible! This will be one of my wife’s and i’s official date spots! If I could rate this restaurant 100/10 I would!

Service was atrocious, unfortunately, even with our arriving as they opened at 5pm. After each 30+ minute wait for both a dessert menu and a check I went to the bar and got them. It was 2.5 hours in total from arrival to when we had paid the bill.

Don’t miss French Bliss – I never received such careful attention to dietary needs, and we truly enjoyed this little slice of heaven. The wedge salad, escargot, steak and brisket were exceptional – and taking advantage of warm afternoon sun on the patio in the spring offered a beautiful view of Ashland hills.

The restaurant atmosphere was romantic and beautiful. The service was timely, helpful and very friendly. The mixed drinks my wife and I ordered were great. But the best memory was the food. Everything from appetizers, amazing fresh arugula salad and our dinners were outstanding! Every dish was hot, well presented/prepared with so much flavor. This was by far the best dinner we have had in Ashland! I highly recommend it…
