Beautifully appointed restaurant in a lovely grouping of other eateries and shops. Our hostess and waitress seemed irritated at our questions. She was short with us even though there was only one other table of guests. The food was mediocre at best. Bland. The chickpeas and rice that came with the meals were seasoned with only garlic which left everything tasting harsh and the same. I am a chef and had excitedly planned my trip here for weeks. Very disappointed in the presentation and flavors.

Great lunch spot. My daughter is diabetic and was able to find a delicious, healthy dish that met her dietary needs. I had a great burger, and we both enjoyed the iced green tea. Nice atmosphere for a relaxing lunch. Plus they sell the El Charro salsa there, so we were able to stock up on that.

This is a Mediterranean/ southwest mix restaurant and they offer excellent meat and vegan options. There jackfruit carnitas tastes just like pulled pork and the protein plus chorizo is delicious. Tacos are delicious ( my wife got the meat variety) I got a build my own bowl with vegan options. Our waiter was on point, made good suggestions and the live music was excellent. A very fun relaxing vibe. Very affordable most plates 12-15.

This restaurant has a lot of options for vegetarians. My server, Tyler, was super helpful in answering all of my questions about the menu (I had so many questions). I told him that I’ve never had jackfruit that I liked, but was thinking of getting it. He offered to go back to the kitchen and get a sample for me. Tyler is a great server; probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The jackfruit was actually the best preparation I’ve tried. The texture and flavor were pretty good. I ended up ordering the bowl, with mixed greens, jackfruit, brussels, and calabacitas. Everything has good flavor, but I’m not sure the flavors paired well when mixed together, but alone it was good. It doesn’t look like too much food, but it was filling and I couldn’t finish it. If I’m back in the area, I may have to stop in again to try some of the other things on the menu.

Nice space but the service is extremely poor and the managing staff are RUDE. I have been wanting to try this restaurant as the offerings looked promising. When we arrived at lunch the staff were no where to be found, dining room not even half full. Someone finally came to greet us and turns out they could not help us and were put off that they had to even engage with us. A staff from behind the bar finally came and sat us at a table in the very back of the restaurant, a room off the bar that was loud with music and dark. After no one coming to greet us at our table we got up to ask if we could be seated in the actual dinning space where everyone else was. The person behind the bar told us, yeah, go ahead, you are going to do what you want to any way. I asked, what??? The person then again basically repeated the same thing. We set our menus down on the bar and said we were done, the person mockingly told us to have a nice day and was clearly done with us. We have NO IDEA why were treated in this manner. The very few engagements we had with staff we were very pleasant and calm. Clearly the restaurant was under staffed and the people they had working there were not happy about something and taking it out on the customers. WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! Bright side, there was another restaurant in the same plaza and the lemon’s they gave us turned into lemon-aid – wound up having the most amazing meal and service we have ever had at the other restaurant in the same plaza – I guess thanks Charro Vida for running us off and giving us a new favorite restaurant.

This is a regular breakfast for us. Food is very good particularly if you eat healthy and have dietary restrictions. Lately, staffing issues likely are causing the normally excellent level of service to drop off sharply. Today service was incredibly slow.

We love CharroVida. I got the jackfruit bbq sandwich with yucca fries and it was really good. My wife got the chopped salad and she loved it. If you’re nervous about vegan food, don’t be. Go and enjoy. Be brave! (They do have non-vegan options too, if you wuss out 🙂 )
