I was surprised how small it was and the seating reminded me of McDonald’s. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We both had oysters drinks from the bar and the scallop and clam dinner and were very pleased with the taste and portion size. They also sell a wide variety of fresh seafood.

1 and a half hour wait before I received raw deep fried scallops and cold mozzarella sticks. The waitress was rude and inside drinking beer lounging in a booth. No apology for the nasty food, just that they were behind.

It was my mom’s birthday dinner and they went out of their way. Surprised us with a cake and a vase with a bouquet of flowers that my mom just loved… The food was really good too. We had lobster, streamers, and haddock. Would recommend for casual family dining.

I love Charlie’s Haddock Sandwich!! I’ve had them all over Maine and I rate this the best. Fresh flaky haddock, extra cheese- although I’m not an American cheese person- on this sandwich, it works. Hot crispy fries, good cole slaw. They have a full bar, 7-8 tables and on the opposite side of the building you can buy fresh seafood which I have done for years. Eat at Charlie’s or take some home. Been there a couple times, I’m not a big seafood person, but the other food is pretty good. The place is small, so doesn’t take many people to make it feel “crowded”. Had some issues with one of the staff, so kind of stopped going there, but I learned that person is no longer there, so will returning soon.
