First time back to Charlie’s in quite some time. Had the alligator bites (blackened) and I tried something out of my norm – the chicken florentine. The gator bites were tasty and paired well with the sauce that was included. No complaints here. The chicken florentine was perfectly average (in a good way), and the loaded baked potato is again – as you should expect. The side of veggies I would not choose again. I don’t remember if the menu said steamed or grilled – but either way, overly soft and little to no flavor. The other guys at my table enjoyed their meals (the steak bites and a seafood potato). Service was good, but felt really inconsistent as it seemed everyone on staff was going to visit the table at some point. Not bad and with good intent I’m sure – but service would probably be even better with minimal change in who is stopping by. I’ll come back at some point and check out some more menu items.

Some would say it’s pricey. I could say the same but the serving size is worth the money. Everything was very flavorful and the paintings on the walls are amazing. Maddie was a great waitress. I wouldn’t mind making another stop there.

My husband and I went on our anniversary and it was amazing! I got the Captains platter and my husband got a shrimp platter and WOW AT ALL THE FOOD!We had 4 take home boxes! Oh and if you go make sure you get the huge onion rings! They are fried just right and AMAZING! WE HAD FOOD FOR LUNCH AND DINNER THE NEXT DAY!I added my platter but my husband was already digging into his! Lol

You get sticker shock from menu… $43 bucks for a seafood platter.. I almost got up an went next door for $26… Only had like 5 tables seated .. Then put us on top someone else then tried putting someone on top us when there’s 15 tables open..That customer said no an moved to another table.. 5 minutes later sat someone at the table I mean 1 foot from us… Young staff … plenty of parking cause everyone was next door….

The new owners have skimped on the quality of the seafood, while the prices get higher. Catfish was paper thin, the seafood platter was sad and the crab cake dinner was nothing but mushy filler. The po-boy bread was horrible and nothing French about it! Been a loyal patron since the beginning and that was a wasted $100 bucks.Maybe the reviews will convince them to lean towards better integrity and better quality seafood???

First time since new owners. We were regulars before. Always had great experience with food but tonight OMGOODNESS. AWFUL. ordered takeout $58 1 large fish dinner and 1 large shrimp dinner. Hush puppies tasted like old grease, baked potato was hard(undercooked) , fish was way overcooked and shrimp was like rubber. My first and last time. A lot of money for sub par food. Tasted worse than convenience store food. I wish I would’ve read these reviews before I ordered.

Was not good .We decided to eat at Charlie’s to celebrate my aunts birthday ,we have eaten here for a long time and never had a bad experience .our waitress was amazing but the seafood pasta tasted sour so sent that back got a bowl of gumbo it was so burnt it was visible and tasted horrible, taste the food you are sending out to your customers. gross .we won’t be back anytime soon .so sad to say it

Pretty standard fair for Louisiana, fish, pasta, fried stuff, steak. Portions are big and the price is cheap. They did leave the cheese off my kid’s burger and overcooked it and the rib eye I ordered, otherwise the food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Embarrassingly disappointing. I ordered a seafood platter and fried pickles for takeout with a very pleasant young lady over the phone. Then I paid $36 plus tip and got these two boxes of fried disappointment, hastily thrown together without any condiments, napkins, or apologies.
