In my opinion, this spot is THE quintessential “hole in the wall” american diner. My friends and I try to make the trip over the river whenever were in the city. I only eat breakfast but the coffee is always fresh and im never disappointed. Certainly better than any chain breakfast establishment. People complaining about delivery are silly, we all know this is sit down and enjoy kinda food.

I fundamentally refuse to eat with anyone named Charlie. Thankfully, “Charlie’s Restaurant” keeps Charlie in a cage in the kitchen. I asked to see him (to ensure that the cage was secure and also to drop off an unobtrusive cake that I had baked for Charlie), but the staff refused. Good, I didn’t want to see Charlie anyway. They did deliver my cake to him though.
