Charlie’s is an amazing small town cafe. Myself and my wife have become regulars here, typically for breakfast but lunch a time or two as well. Staff is beyond friendly and unlike most other restaurants in town, the staff here genuinely seems like they want to be at their job. And that alone makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I would recommend Charlie’s to anyone looking for a good place to eat.

What a great place!! Food was delicious. The young lady working the front was incredibly nice, and all the staff were super attentive. We both had the sausage biscuits and gravy, one with scrambled eggs and the other with over-easy. And of course we had to try their famous carmel roll (recommended by our server)!! Sooooooooo good! Just one bit of advice, go when your starving. The servings are HUGE!! We ended up taking food home. We highly recommend.

I’ve been here a couple of times when I’ve passed through Minot. Best Breakfast In Minot is no exaggeration. I love the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs. Great service, great old fashioned cafe, reasonable prices and good portions. I always order caramel rolls to go. YUMMY!

I asked Google for the best breakfast places in town. I chose this pace based on location and the photos. I have to tell you my omelet was amazing.. had it made with egg whites it was not too greasy at all.. it was perfect. And the dark rye bread my favorite. when asked to switch my cheese from swiss to pepper jack made it even better. Hit this place people. You won’t be disappointed!

Traveling here from NC. Highly recommend fellow travelers visit this diner. Charlie’s is delicious! The caramel roll was a warm, tasty roll of awesomeness which pairs perfectly with coffee. Omelets and pancakes were equally delicious! Also enjoyed reading the news clippings detailing Charlie’s history.

Trying to word it as understanding as possible…the wait was 55mins. to get our food, customer service was horrible and rude. Not just for us but table behind us had a complaint as well and waiter came up and rudly asked ” what’s up”. The same waiter came down the line to our tables and slapping our tickets on the table with ” here you go”. Again, in such a rude manner. We were taking our 2 bite/ spoonful as he slapped it on the table which made us jump a little as it was not expected. Son ordered a burger and took 2 bites and didn’t like it. My food was barley a meal that also was just left. Shame on me for wanting to relax and get served for once knowing we may have had a better experience at home. For $34 and change it is definitely not worth it. I was able to here other customers around us complain about the same issues we had so it sure wasn’t only 1-2 individuals. I let the cashier know and all we get was ” yeah I’m sorry seems like everyone is having a bad day today.” No, not everyone. We were civil, kind and courteous unlike our’s and other customer’s experience.

We love to grab breakfast for the kids and take it to the park. Charlies is close to our home and local. We would pay the same at the “other” corperate diners, so why not support local owners. Their eggs are better than the “others” anyway.

So I am on Amtrak and sick of eating their food. We had a 30 minute stop so I called 15 minutes ahead. Tiffany took the order and had everything waiting. 7 min walk there and made it back in plenty of time. Great atmosphere and great service.

Charlie’s is absolutely the best place to eat in Minot. The egg salad sandwich on a croissant is made fresh to order and was a big hit with our family. The caramel rolls are excellent also. We came from Milwaukee, WI to visit our son at the Air Force base and to meet Tiffany (owner) and her family that our son became friends with. When in town, stop by Charlie’s get some good food and meet the owners
