Been 3 or 4 yrs since we ate here. I was reminded tonight why . I threw away a $10 plate. Calabash chicken is not just plain chicken tenders the onion rings and the tenders was so hard they cut my gums and they tasted the same cause they both came from the same old grease. I showed the guy told him about it and all I got was OH THEY TO HARD . He watched me put the plate in the trash . I didn’t get sorry ma’am just a head nod.

I saw a lot of mixed reviews before going into the establishment but decided to give it a shot anyhow. It’s nothing to rave about. The service was quick! I got a chili cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. It was very basic. I feel like there was more mustard than chili on my burger, definitely lacked on the chili part. The cheese wasn’t completely melted when it was served. Onion rings were decent. Prices were decent. Maybe I’m just spoiled to The Clock chili cheeseburger.

I love the staff. The food is delicious. I’ve eaten there until I retired in 2011. Now, I’m back eating there again. My favorite quick meal is the kid’s grill cheese sandwich. All the food is still good as is the service. Stop by and try it.
