Wonderful fresh seafood for Lisa and I while the kids had a burger and chicken strips, I believe. After having a half dozen oysters at Snapper Jacks on our first night on the coast…I decided to go all out and ordered a dozen oysters and washed them down with a pound of fresh shrimp . They were phenomenal. Crisp shrimp that pop in your mouth, so crisp, then juicy. Lisa had the crab and shrimp boil and loved it as much as I loved mine. We all shared an appetizer of fries okra which rocked! We also liked the plastic bucket in the middle of the table where you can throw your shells. Clever and useful gimmick you don’t see very often back home in Wisconsin.

Loved this restaurant!! Located in the Wapoo River, there is ample setting both inside and out with great views of the water. There were several large groups comfortably accommodated. The menu had something for everyone. I had the seafood boil pictured. Our meals were outstanding – prepared and presented well. We were seated promptly and our server was there immediately to assist us. She was pleasant and very attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

We went for a late lunch and were seated immediately. The service was very fast and our server was attentive. The she-crab soup was decent… very little crab. Our server brought us extra sherry and that helped the flavor. My husband got boiled shrimp and thought they were good.

It was a great lunch with my father. He had the Lowcountry Shrimp Boil, and I had the Captain’s Platter with fried oysters, shrimp, and flounder with grits and eagle fries. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The view of the waterway was also beautiful, it was a beautiful day. The calamari was fired to perfection.

We got a great meal here! Ate outside by the water and bridge and enjoyed the cool spring breeze. We savored the lowcountry shrimp boil with shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. It was delicious! My only critique would be I would’ve loved a few more potatoes. We also tried the lunch special of fried flounder and crispy waffle fries. Excellent and a great deal at $13-$14 compared to the usual fried seafood prices! We also got an app of hushpuppies that were hot and crispy with honey butter! Good drink menu selection. Quick service. Plenty of free parking in a restaurant lot. My family has come here for years and wouldn’t stop now. Easier access than the downtown location if you’re not already in downtown.

After going location I realized I had eaten here before. However there was a line out the door waiting for a table so we’re elected to try one of the other locations. Just as good plus it was on the water with more seating and no waiting. Food was great. A little pricey, but if you aren’t accustomed to getting this often it’s well worth it. I would highly recommend.

We tried this place for the first time today while we were in town for vacation. It didn’t disappoint. I had Blackened red fish and my wife had she crab soup and bbq shrimp and grits. Fantastic meal!! Our server, Savanna was so awesome that really made our dining experience special. Thank you Savanna for being our server and the great conversations we had!
