Great place to stop and have lunch. Restaurant was clean and well organized. Eays in and out of the parking lot. Drive through is wide and easy to maneuver in. Restrooms were clean and had ample space to move around if you need it. Staff was friendly and helpful. For those who cannot have sugar in their drinks they have diet fountain drinks and unsweetened tea and they have Splenda as a sweetener if you need it.

I grew up going to the Char Grill in downtown Raleigh and I was very excited when they opened this location. The food is amazing and those pink Carolina packer hot dogs bring back so many great memories.

We drive by frequently and smell the “char-grill” smoke– smells like perfect burgers! Finally tried the place and were a little disappointed. Burgers we had were a little dry. Fries, BLT were good. Service was exceptional! Will be back for a second chance one of these days. (I am NOT an employee, ex-employee or an applicant. My review was written by personal experience).

It was ok, they have lettuce, tomato, raw onion pieces and cheese as toppings. They had bbq sauce and jalapeños but they don’t put them on burgers, they gave me containers. Big fat French fries were good. Meat was thicker than McDonald’s. No ice at soda fountain, they gave me a cup with ice. Drive thru was long so I went in, I was the only person inside so I got my order quick. If this was the only option I’d eat here, but I wouldn’t deliberately choose it. Personally, I think Cook-Out is better, Burger King and Wendy’s is worse.

I had a great experience at chargrill wake forest on 5-22-23 with Jessa (sp?). She was very polite and happy. Thank you Jessa. I love this place. Very good food and shakes for price. I begain going to chargrill on hillsborough street in 1982 and have loved them ever since. Thank you.

I’ll be honest, the negative reviews made me question trying this place. Glad that I gave them a chance. My experience had shown that sometimes, disgruntled employees or applicants will leave negative reviews. I look past those and try to see for myself.

We always go for the burgers, done of the best in the area. As with a lot of places though, overall service and experience is lacking ever since covid. I always seem to come right after the dining room closes. The service is never bad by any means, yet just seems very “neutral” if that makes sense. But the tasty burgers keep us coming back!
