Loved it! Old school vibe. Fill out your order on paper. I had the 1/2 lb burger. It was big, messy and awesome. Shakes are good too. My 12 year old nephew says, “everything was good, I had a char-grill burger and you can taste everything, the fries are fine there isn’t enough salt on the fries so ask for more salt, and the milkshakes are perfect.”

Had a coupon for the Steakburger Jr. Never really tried Char-Grill before. I was not impressed at all -> the bun gets kind of mushy and gummy as you chew it and the burger itself was a bit dry. I bet their regular burgers are better but I’d avoid the Steakburger Jr. I had chili added to one of mine (I had 2 per the coupon) and it was very little chili kind of like they put the chili on as if it were mayonnaise (in a very thin and imperceptible layer).

I can’t explain it, but when I go to this place I get a feeling like I’m 10 years old and I’m skipping school to go to the lake with my big brother for the day. (I didn’t even grow up here.) Any place that can evoke such a specific memory is great in my book. I’ve settled on ordering the quarter pound steak burger with jalepeno as my go to, and the sweet tea is not too sweet.

First time here for lunch. This place is old school. Really good, simple food. Definitely recommend this place for lunch. The customer service is great. The portions were good. The price point was good. Lot positives definitely will be back. I have been searching for a place like this. This is a really good place to check out.
