Fast service, decent Mexican food with pretty large menu. For some reason a big deal is made about the policy of only one basket of chips, then there’s a fee for additional. No problem, I suppose, but seems like it’s emphasized a bit too much. Food is hot and fresh and staff is friendly. Just know… ONLY YOUR FIRST BASKET OF CHIPS IS FREE! ha ha

Our last minute decision to eat near our hotel was rewarded by finding this gem of a place. The salsa and bean dip are exceptional, seriously a cut above any other Mexican restaurant I have tried. The staff was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was laid back and friendly. The food was delicious although I still think the free salsa and bean dip stole the show. I highly recommend Chapala!

This restaurant was so good. The atmosphere was festive, the waitstaff was amazing. They all worked together well. The menu has many delicious choices, I settled on the Chili Colorado burrito. It came with rice and beans. I enjoyed it! I have been here before, but that was years ago. I don’t know why it took so long to come back. We will come here again soon.

Now I can see what kind of owner he is. The owner wasn’t really that nice to us before. But didn’t come in with regular clothes. He was rude. And off putting. I will never return. I felt unwanted and unwelcome. I guess we are not his kind of people. Too bad.. we use to bring the whole family. Pay tons of money for just okay Mexican food. I’m on the lookout for a better place. Thank for making me feel less than human. And making sure everyone knows. You really need to change your attitude. Being nice to everyone.. not just the people who YOU think have money.. real money doesn’t brag.. and says what’s on there mind. ALWAYS

Usually this place is good for a decent meal. Always fast. Never incredibly friendly but thats ok. This time I ordered my meal with no beans, all rice. They brought me both. She took the plate back. Cook scraped beans off and dumped rice over it. Should have given me a new plate. I hate beans. So was unable to enjoy all my rice.

This is one of my go-to Mexican food restaurants in Meridian. The service is always excellent! Alex has served us twice and he is great. You can tell he knows his stuff and is very friendly. The food was great! But you can’t really go wrong with shrimp, bacon, and cheese! Now, if they only served the brown “green chile sauce,” they would be the best. That sauce is in every Mexican food joint in Colorado (which is where we came from originally), but nobody seems to know what it is here. Sad times my friends! I definitely recommend this place. It’s clean and charming, and definitely screams Mexico!
